That's total bs I supported sampson alot. I did not want him let go. I knew if they did not like most programs he would have survived. Knight was given every pass in the book he was never treated bad. He finally was undone because he wasn't winning at a high level anymore yet still making the tourney. I think quinn certainly wanted to be able to say Woodson rescued the program from the dead and brought it back. The reality is archie stunk but it wasn't dead Woodson started out with tjd and a decent roster. It's all bs. Crean is the only one who ever actually rebuilt it from the dead. He just could not sustain it. Woodson really hasn't done much of anything and without nil oh boy. Crean made two sweet sixeteens but never competed. Providence is about to go 7-8 after uconn throttles them this weekend. They were also without their best player when Woodson beat them.
