  1. I think that could be a clear indication that Allen has his new OC and that MP wasn't going to be his 'guy'. Tough kid. Doubt he'll end up as a starter in a top 30 program. Likely to metriculate back home to somewhere like a USF.
  2. We may get our OC announcement in the morning. Two of the teams OC's are playing tonight. Liberty, another possibility at 7-5, is waiting for a bowl bid but may get left out as an independent.
  3. That isn't stopping anyone else,..but I thought of that too. Liberty and WKU still have games.
  4. Major programs are in warp speed, hiring new coaches. Allen still hasn't announced a new OC. I suspect one of the holdbacks might be that he won't give whoever he hires, autonomy in picking position coaches. A reminder: Mark Stoops is taking Kentucky to it's 6th straight bowl game. I wouldn't be surprised to see coach McCulloch blow out of here and take his sons with him,..maybe back to USC.
  5. Boeheim has owned IU ever since losing nat'l championship. Nothing's changed. Disgraceful from the start. Tentative, inept and clueless. Looks like the football team suited up.
  6. Allen will end up going with someone he's 'comfortable with'. Look for the OC at Liberty to fill Sheridan's slot. It may help,...but this thing is going in reverse. Next year likely won't be much different than '21. As things stand, IU is a mid-level WAC or MAC football program.
  7. Much of our consternation regarding Allen, I think, centers around his inability or unwillingness to address and deal decisively with downward onfield performance. This is resulting in poorer recruiting and now a flood of portal players. The appearance is that he seems more interested in 'protecting' the status quo than fixing what's wrong. I'm afraid IU's and CTA's lack of gravitas may only get worse.
  8. These contracts come standard MINUS one item. A MINIMAL performance clause.

  10. Zach Kittley at Western Kentucky. He's an 'old' 30 in terms of experience and leadership. If we don't act quickly he'll likely end up at Texas Tech. Mike Hart? C'mon man!
  11. Dolson was being kind. There are at least 2 more assistants that needed to go. CTA's check should have reflected those as well. Not like he's a 'hot commodity'. Hope I'm wrong, but at this point I don't have a lot of confidence in A's OC judgment. Hope his revised contract has a win '6' minimum.
  12. I'm glad that Allen and co. are being creative, even if it means pilferage. In order for IU to ever "breakthrough" they will need to change the stigma of IU football, getting at least low level 4*'s on both sides of the LOS. The 4* OL kid from Detroit that looked like he was going to Bloomington, now to Ol Miss is another example.
