    The way I understood it -- from reading through the massive amount of info here -- was that we made strong overtures to DeVries and McCollum. While McCollum was sorta undecided, DeVries said yes. I could be wrong, though.

    McCollum basically turned over that entire roster -- had only a couple leftovers from DeVries. He's the real deal.

    If it's the same guy -- John was a student intern/assistant in the SID's office when I was an IDS sports reporter about 35 years ago. Really good dude.

    TKR is the new freshman and sophomore Zach Edey. I doubt anybody in college hoops gets way with traveling more. (I say frosh and sophomore Edey because while he had extraordinarily happy feet his first two years, his footwork improved significantly over his last two seasons)

    The biggest challenge each NCAA tournament? It's not trying to submit a winning a bracket. It's not avoiding tears over IU's exclusion. It's trying to find that damn truTV channel!
