So... he is literally coaching a DII team this year. In his interview he said that he put the roster together not expecting short-term success. To boot, Texas Tech's coach (who Drake would face in the next round) credits McCollum for remaking McCasland's offensive system. I'm not going to hold Drake's results against him this year, regardless of who IU hires.

This actually all rings true. It's free to come here, it's free to post. Think it's unreasonable to be anything but grateful for people who post things. It's the reader's responsibility to discern the good ones from the trolls.

Maybe IU's joining a class-action lawsuit and that's been the hold-up in hiring Stevens...

Think my ellipsis might have been read as sarcasm; I think this search has been strange enough that there is something strange going on in the background. And because this is the group of people paying the closest attention to this search, I think the hivemind has a decent enough grasp of what's going on. Circumstantial evidence/all the posters make me think that there's someone getting hired who isn't coaching, and who is a big fish. It also seems like there has been effort to throw people off. Interesting to see how this comes to fruition.

Definitely not worse than X. For all its ups and downs, this is more of a community.

I, for one, find my life richer from Isaac's posts. Hope we're gearing up legend status, in the event that the Whale is landed...
