The offense needs to show something since they are not going up against a gaunlet of a defense like the previous three weeks. Also, we should absolutely win this game. Maryland is on their third string QB. They have also lost a few defensive players for the season. Gotta have this one!

Don't like to use it as an excuse but refs have definitely cost us this quarter. They have chosen a winner. Debord has also cost us with his ridiculously conservative playcalling. Knew that would come back to bite us.

He did then say the playcalling was bad once they got inside the 11 with three straight runs .

Sad having a big reliable receiver like Simmie and we don't look his way once in the red zone.

Zander was a nice runner and tough kid but he had the body of a high schooler with a noodle for an arm

They are really missing the TO's this year compared to last year. They also seem to have a little less depth than last year and start to tire towards end of game. Blame for that also needs to go on offense who never seems to do them favors.

Yeah some people seem to think Ramsey is a horrible thrower comparing him to Lagow. Yes, no doubt Lagow has the better arm but Ramsey is far from bad. He just never has time to throw and most of the plays are intended to be for short yardage.

Lagow is really bad. He was better last year b/c the line was better and gave him more time to pass. This offensive line is much more limited. If you doesn't get the ball out quickly it's a sack. it's unfortunate but he has some of the worst movement for a quarterback I have seen. Ramsey is fine from about 15 yards in. It baffles me that we don't try more screen passes, short slants, etc. The qb draw has basically been a lost down most times. Not sure how many times Ramsey decides to keep it though versus pitch.

Debord is awful. I honestly don't know how anyone can defend him after that last series. And don't give me the whole personnel thing.

I think the bigger issue is our offense not giving our defense a break. We had both Ohio State and Mich bottled up in the running game for two-three quarters. However, the offense in both those games struggled time and time again to just get one first down on a drive. Our defense is fine. The issue this year has been offensive consistency and special teams. We have pretty much played our toughest games already outside of Wisconsin so would expect both facets to improve. Have to think we would be even better defensively too if we had Ball back there.

They were until they lost their top two QB's. Virginia is a tougher game than that. You just have to wonder where the teams head will be at with a likely loss to Mich St next week sending us to 0-4 in conference.

Not sure I would. Mich has a below average offense. If we just contain their RB's we can get them to settle for FG.

Can't let him get to outside. Had him in backfield. Defense had all the time to rest can't have that.
