And the players will love to play his style of bball. Young, energetic, exciting style of play that will be exciting and reunite the fan base. He will recruit big time at IU. Him and a notch below is Muss IMO. I would love either one but if we can get Oats, then watch out. Big things will be coming to IU.

Oats style is exactly what he said he wanted. I just hope we have the funds for the buyout and salary. He is exactly what we need to bring IU back to being sexy.

His record is not very impressive. One run to the final four and 2 wins in the tourney this year. I just feel like there are at least 6-8 coaches I think we can get that are better. He's not a bad coach but I'm going for that home run instead of a seeing eye single. I'm not sure how well he'll be able to recruit top talent.

So you know who we're waiting on? When we hire one, I guess we'll see who was right. It won't be one of those guys.

I don't see why people don't understand it's a good thing we haven't hired anybody yet. Sounds to me like he is waiting to go all in on the Quaker man(Oats). Has to be him or one of the remaining coaches and the only others are Drew and Musselman.

Unfortunately, no. Just think he is waiting for a couple coaches to become available. Hopefully their agent has said we're interested but he has to wait until their season is over. Then if we fail when when happens we'll have Beilein as a fall back. JMO

Sounds about like IU. Why not talk to a coach that would be able to bring us back cause we hold a grudge. I'm okay with Drew as well and Hanner sucked any way.

He has 1 great year out of 2. Look at his record at Nevada. Archie has 0 great years out of 4 with better recruiting facilities. Give me Musselman all day and it's not close. If you don't trust in Mussel, just wait in 5 years when he is a top 3 coach in college year after year with success. He is the real deal. That's who we need to go after 100% all in.

I think Beilein will be who we eventually hire. I think he'll be a good coach but won't recruit great. We should at least be making the tourney every year. Still hoping for one of the big 4 Oats Musselman Beard Drew

Anybody else besides me rooting for Bama, Arkansas, and Baylor losses to see if we go hard after one of them? Matta sounds like a bunt single and a steal of 2nd base. Ground out moved over to 3rd and sac fly to score. Could work but not sure it's what we're looking for.

If indiana basketball can't pry a coach away from Arkansas when we're offering 6-7 mil then I'll see myself out.
