  1. My bad got my days mixed up. I still stand by that comment though. I don’t see them introducing Candle or Hart and then they go coach a game on Saturday which they would do.
  2. I heard that Osterman said IU plans on having the new head coach at the IU and Maryland game Saturday. That tells me it’ll be Frye or Chryst if that is true.
  3. The reality is that the IU job isn’t sought after. So you aren’t going to get anyone that thinks they can wait and maybe get a better job soon. That leaves you with first timers or retreads nobody wants. That doesn’t mean it’s Dolson’s fault. It’s just that IU football has had 20 plus years of being a joke of a program. The reality is the next hire just needs to find ways to consistently get to bowl games and get IU set up for better expectations moving forward.
  4. Unless you are in the meetings and interviews you have no clue.
  5. It seems as though Tayven thinks it’s going to be Gruden or he at least wants it to be
  6. He’s not being talked about because of low expectations. He’s actually a highly thought of young coach in college football.
  7. Lewis would be a pretty good HC imo. The Kent State record doesn’t define him as a coach. Kent State is the worst job in the MAC. He was doing a pretty good job at Colorado but Sanders panicked after a bad week or two and demoted him when their roster just wasn’t good and now they’re losing commits because he isn’t staying at Colorado.
  8. He did say that they aren’t doing interviews so more names will likely pop up today or tomorrow.
  9. It sounds like Carey is getting an opportunity to state his case but likely won’t get the job.
  10. It also sounds like Mike Hart is in the mix
  11. It sounds like Carey, Frye, Candle, Chryst, Lewis, and Silverfield have gotten or scheduled interviews so far.
  12. Whitten wasn’t president and McRobbie didn’t care about athletics
  13. That’s what it is. Also there’s always more than just the AD that have to sign off on any hire before it’s official. This happens at all levels of athletics.
  14. It was stuff that happened when he was at OSU.
  15. He’s a good offensive mind which IU needs in their next HC imo.
  16. That’s a fact. That would be interesting but not likely
  17. I don’t see it that way. If they did it they weren’t even going to discuss his recruitment. However cooler heads prevailed and realized it just wasn’t a great idea. Which it wasn’t for various reasons.
  18. I don’t think that’s the case. He gave updates on several players. It’s just the Queen one wasn’t much of an update.
  19. Trilly: we haven’t heard anything knew for a few days so we are sticking with our original thought that Maryland is the leader. IU fans: Queen’s going to Maryland. IU misses on everyone and McNeeley will change his mind. Overreaction and reading comprehension is truly something on IU message boards sometimes lol
  20. I think it will. IU will hopefully get off to a better start. That said Marian has some guys that can play and they’ll push the tempo offensively.
  21. I love it. I know I will be wearing a plaid jacket a few times this basketball season in honor of Coach Knight. I’d love to see coaches all over the country wearing plaid jackets or Red sweaters this season.
  22. The composite isn’t the greatest way to judge imo. On3 sucks and ESPN sucks. 2 of the 4 that make up the composite aren’t great. 247 has him at 89 and Rivals is around 120. Rivals has him trending up.
  23. The simple answer is that he was 5’11 and isn’t a big time scorer. He’s grown some and added muscle since getting to OTE. He has developed over the last couple years. I believe he could be a solid college basketball player.
  24. I don’t really see much of a downside in going after Davis.
