This times a million. The guy has put Brad in a bad spot with all his low balling and I don’t care what Brad says that’s the truth. Ainge thinks he has to fleece the other team in order to make a trade.

You have to get both. If you alienate the in state coaches then it won’t work out well. At the end Crean was one extreme. Archie was pretty close to the other extreme. That said Crean was a much better at talent development than Archie.

We’ll go ask Crean what happens when you make the Indiana AAU and High School coaches upset. It doesn’t work out well. You have to have a mix of in state and out of state or international kids. You can’t rely on one or the other. If you do then you’re screwed.

The guys they’ve gotten can play. Archie didn’t develop them once they got to college. Remember what happened though when Crean was coaching and everyone was upset when he didn’t get Guy, Wilkes, Walker, and others. You have to keep the programs in your corner or else you will miss on the guys that you need to get.

Do you have any idea how AAU coaching and college recruiting works? Like at all because I’m starting to think you don’t. Just ask Tom Crean what happens when you alienate AAU coaches and high school coaches in this state.

Glad you brought that up. Indiana Elite is still ran by the same people and they don’t like Drew either. That’s a bigger problem than even Dolson not liking him. Those same guys that run Indiana Elite or have roles with them are also at prominent high schools around the state too. I hope you see the problem with that.

Well when a coach, AD, or GM at any level starts listening to fans they usually end up sitting with the fans. So I don’t think he cares. Wait until a hire is actually made.

You shouldn’t be surprised that it hasn’t been publicly reported. The media is usually wrong with coaching search information. The Drew stuff is pretty common knowledge. It was an assistant that Drew kept around even after those events.

It was. I was sitting at the first session of the IHSAA basketball state finals when it was announced. Then I went to circle center mall between sessions and saw Juwan Morgan walking around. Just a fun little story about that day.

0507 keeps changing what he’s saying. First it was a big time coach and Dolson had his man, then yesterday he said there were conference championship coaches that wanted the job so it would be a good hire, then last night he said Dolson has his man and it’s underwhelming and that he hopes everyone gives this coach a chance. He said they are connected with the White Plains flights but it’s not Woodson. So then people thought it was Isiah but he said it’s not him either. Then backalley started calling him out because he’s never wavered from Brad on the 27th.

You aren’t the only one. My brain keeps going back to those pressers and the events that led up to the masshole comments. It was all just strange.

That was interesting. Like I’ve said if Backalley is a troll is an extremely persistent one that’s been way ahead of everyone else and never wavered. Or he thinks he really knows something.

Matta didn’t fail a physical he just backed out for some reason. Drew hasn’t been reached out to because Dolson doesn’t like him. You can ask Hanner why that is.

That’s less likely than him resigning and coming to IU on Saturday.

In theory yes to another NBA team but that’s not happening.
