The problem is with this IU team is that they are undersized most nights, can't shoot, lack heart and hustle, Romeo isn't what he was made out to be (not entirely his fault), coaching staff has been out coached in numerous games, and the biggest issue is the players on this team outside of 2 or 3 are just very dumb basketball players when it comes to making decisions. None of that is good recipe for success.

The problem is there are to many rumors about what happened in the coaching search and everyone is dead set that what they were told is what really happened. The problem is there are numerous stories about what happened that led to IU hiring CAM.

This is Blackford’s 90-79 loss against 3A #5 Northwestern led by Tayson Parker. Parker scores 41 and Brown 34. 24 of Browns came in the second half. False. 10 of those times he was playing in the Metro Indy League. Fall league that TJD, Eric Hunter, Aaron Henry and others were playing in. One of those games was against Pierce Thomas who IU has shown interest in. That’s not 1 outlier. I could put together an entire list mostly from Indiana but whatever floats your boat. My opinions are based on my own perspective as I’ve watched him close to 20 times since the fall before his freshman year. One of those games I sat and talked to former D1, D2, and D3 players about him. They all said he is a mid major right now but if he can improve on defense then he is a high major kid. One of those guys was also a D2 assistant at one point. He does get double and triple teamed most nights. I’ve watched it in person and on scout film multiple times. However I can tell you with 100% certainty he will probably be guarded straight up in a few games rather soon so we’ll see what happens. If he wasn’t being triple teamed most of the time he would easily be shooting 43-45%. He is an elite shooter with his mechanics. All you have to do is look at his free throw percentages from last year and this year to see that. Also if you haven’t seen him then don’t act like you know how good or not good he is because that means you are basing it off of a bias for the school he goes to and his lack of offers currently. He’s a fantastic passer too. Actually setting up his teammates might be the most impressive thing that he does because the rest of his team is equal to a good 2A job team maybe and they score a good amount of points because of Brown finding them. I myself have questions about Brown but his offense is very high level my question is can he guard anyone. That is what most coaches not just IU are probably waiting on. He did that on Tuesday and did just fine. I understand he played bad in AAU against mid major guy or two but he also score 34 against a likely mid major guy a couple days ago too. I don’t know who the mid major guys that shut Luke down in AAU are but I’d venture to say that Tayson Parker is probably more athletic than they are. He’s just not really a pg and only 6’1.
