  2. To be fair, Coleman hasn't done squat in the NFL, so I guess it was our line that made him that good? Just playing devil's advocate here. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

  4. First quarter observations -BSU looks like they will really be spreading it out this year. Lots of 4 WR sets. Don't think I've seen a TE on the field for them yet. -We should be able to control their run game, not very many holes being opened up by their line. -BSU defensive front 7 is very active, multiple blitzes. -Specials teams is not their strength, especially the place kicker. 5. I'm going to try to watch as much of the Ball State game tonight as I can. I'll pass along anything noteworthy about our next matchup. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  6. Guys, I think IU Football might be this site's savior. Whodathunkit? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

  8. Let's get some credit to Joseph Gideon. Had three punts inside the 20, one of which went out at the 1 yard line and led to the safety. He also had a long of 53 yards. Kick game strong! Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
  9. Loved how the defense pressured the QB in multiple ways tonight. It appeared that FIU missed some wide open WRs tonight, but it was a result of an early, hurried throw. Lagow looked solid. He will learn that his arm can, but shouldn't, make every throw in FBS football. The running back corps looks terrific, as advertised. Passing game did quite fine without Cobbs too. The offense should gel and become a force again. Can't brag enough on Marcelino Ball, kid is a star in the making. 4th quarter really eased my mind....until next week. 11. Don't lose 5 games by one possession. That will help. But for real: 1) quality QB play. I don't think Lagow needs to throw for 3,000 yards and 28 TDs for it to be considered a quality season. Minimize the mistakes and manage the game, that's what we need. 2) The line and RBs need to live up to the hype. Should definitely see another 1,000 yard rusher, barring injury. 3) The defense needs to get pressure on the QB. Wether it be coverage sacks or a sack off a blitz, the QB needs to see a lot of red in his face this year. We seem to be improved in the secondary, but with no pressure put on the QB, even a marginal QB could pick us apart. 4) Beat one of the big boys. We need a win vs the likes of Nebraska, PSU, OSU, MSU. Just one. It will provide a safety net if we lose one against our weaker opponents. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

  14. Coy Cronk is our next star on the line. Kid played OLB and Catcher in high school. Athletic kids that put on good weight (e.g. Springs) are going to shine under Frey. Sent from my iPhone

  18. This isn't the NBA. Villanova won the championship with a 3 guard lineup that were 6'2.5", 6'3", and 6'5". Those heights are taken from Villanova's official website. And we know X's stance of teams' official sites: They lie on height. So, according to X, the starting 3 guards for the NATIONAL CHAMPIONS were 6'1.5", 6'2", and 6'4". But sure, 6'7" guards should soon be a mainstay in college basketball dominance. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

  22. There was a huge outcry of disproval from the alumni base when the football team went to the black helmets and jerseys during the Randel El era. So change can hurt, especially the school. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
