Worse case anyone think Bennett is tired of the ACC? He is in 8th place right now and literally is in a fight every game. Now would be the perfect time for him to move on as well. Why? Makes no sense to continue to be average and keep picking at end of lottery or later instead of higher to get more building blocks. It will make them compete for titles a lot sooner than your route and allows you to play your young guys more minutes to see what you have. Btw Clippers-Celtics are talking Blake Griffin. Proposed trade would be Jae Crowder, Marcus Smart and Avery Bradley and MAYBE a pick from them not Nets in 2019 or 2020. Like I said the Celtics will NOT give up Crowder, Brown, Bradley and their pick this year for anyone. That is way to much. AD maybe the only guy worth more than most because he is signed for so long. You lose value regardless if the player isnt fully committed to the franchise which PG is not as well as Butler. Blake can hit FA after next year as well. Regardless Pacers have to move PG. He has reiterated it enough he may not re sign after next season. I would wait till this offseason once the draft order is finalized. If they trade Turner than they are stupid. He is still very young and is their building block. A core of Turner, Jaylen Brown and Dennis Smith or Markelle Fultz even with a bunch of cap space is very enticing. They cant settle for continuing to be average. Every time a star is traded the team looks for a top 5-10 pick a player with upside a good starter and maybe another pick in the future. That is if you do ot with leverage. If you dont have leverage well the value goes down. The Nets and Celtics deal was one of rarity that the Celtics even got lucky with multiple top 5 picks because of the time the Nets planned on contending so they didnt think it would be as much as it is now. The Kings just did and the Bulls are about to too. A top 3 pick in this draft is great value. You are the one picking the player so if it fails it is on you. Plenty of kids in this class will be good. Mostly every player in the league was either drafted or draft eligible and didnt get picked. Avery Bradley is a very good player and Rozier has shown flashes in limited minutes. Add in another pick the following year that is a lot. Im sorry but you dont give up Bradley, a top 5 pick, jaylen Brown who was just a top 5 pick another pick that could be top 5 and then even more just doesnt happen ever in the NBA. No way they get that much. On NBA TV they were talking about the trade of Boogie and they wanted PG first. Pacers wanted Buddy, Tyreke, this first and next years first as well as a another future one. The Pelicans didnt like it at all. They went for Boogie instead. Celtics would get him with the nets pick, bradley & Rozier maybe a pick in the future as well. That is A LOT. Thats like saying Markelle Fultz, Avery Bradley & Terry Rozier as well as a future first. Pacers probably do it in a heart beat. Bad thing is Celtics are said to highly covet that pick. If they keep it and get unlikely and fall even to 4 or later it makes that pick go way down in value. Maybe. Boogie said he wouldnt sign an extension with the team that traded for him. He is a FA after next season as well as Russell. Maybe those two join forces in LA? Who knows honestly. Anyone else see Lavar Ball's interview last night!!?? Once again said Lonzo was better than Steph Curry right now. Said put Lonzo on the ws and Steph on UCLA. Funny Steph was a shot away from a final four with no other talent on a DAVIDSON team lol. Yet Ball has several top tier talents. I think Lavar needs to shut up. My year I didnt have the best choice but cool story I did get to hang out with Matt Roth. A girl from my high school came to "hang out" and she ended up with him at a party we went too. Besides Bennett, Stevens and Billy D there is going to be flaws with any of the coaches we go after. If there was a perfect candidate he is probably at a major school already or NBA. Marshall may be the closest thing to a sure thing. His sure thing just means we are good doesnt mean we would ever be great so still a lot of risk even with him. Shaka was the cant miss coach not to long ago and texas looks horrible now with 2 mcdonalds all americans in their lineup. After the top 3 Archie & Collins are my favorites.
