  1. Seriously BTbanners ad machine?
  2. Wholeheartedly doubt that. Their current coach would be owed $13 million if terminated before April 1st and only drops to $10 million after April 1st. So if they fire Miller, that's $13 for Miller and $16 million for Cronin's buyouts PLUS Cronin's salary. Miller's contract is for under $3 million. Cronin's annual salary at UCLA is $4.1 million and if he leaves it will be for a big pay raise....Cincinnati can't afford to move from Wes Miller to Mick Cronin. Even if they didn't pay him any more than UCLA is paying him and -- say -- they negotiated the two buyouts down to $10 and $12 - that's $22 million in buyouts + $4 million annual salary for Cronin. If he signed a 6 year, $25 million contract to come back to Cincy (which isn't realistic, it would have to be more than that) that's $47 million they are sinking into the switch. IU has much bigger pockets than Cincy.
  3. Yes. Chris Beard from Texas Tech to Texas.
  4. Compared to IU, they don't have the donors. Also don't draw dick at home. Through 14 home games this year they averaged 6,447 fans. Cronin also hasn't been a fan of the long road trips that the West Coast teams have to do in the Big Ten.
  5. Early loss. A deep March run increases the chances of his school ponying up to keep them.
  6. I guess I would only put Chris Collins on the list because that would mean we'd probably beat Northwestern.
  7. If Woodson could win at home, the three road win games would have been okay.
  8. He doesn't work hard enough to be head cheese. At best assistant to the assistant of head cheese.
  9. Mike Woodson isn't spam. I like spam. He's like the gelatin covering the Dollar General knockoff version of spam.
  10. Yep. I remember when Mike Davis came back with Texas Southern to Assembly Hall and was loudly cheered. Tom Crean would be treated the same way. Archie Miller would probably get an indifferent response. I fully expect that Mike Woodson will continue to finger point and blame others to the point where he will never be given a good reception from IU fans EXCEPT by the grey hairs.
  11. And you do you, wasting one of your fifty posts per year on a condescending post of no value.
  12. True. I'm finding more coaches, not less, that I think are good ones.
  13. I would say that if he were to come to IU he wouldn't be looking to some other job for sentimental reasons because he would have left the place where he would have had that. I just don't have any idea if he realistically would leave or just be able to use it for a big pay raise at Iowa State.
  14. Talk themselves into a final four coach?
  15. Forgot about McCasland. Would put him on our list.....but might be pretty difficult to pull him out of Texas.
  16. Is he your #1 with or without the possibility of him not wanting to leave Iowa State? Seems like that would likely up his cost. Personally, there are a number of candidates I would be okay with and that includes Stevens, May, Oltzenberger, Cronin, Beard, Drew, Oats, McDermott, Drew (in no particular order). McCollum from a pure coaching standpoint but that's a risk from a recruiting standpoint. But looking at those candidates I think there are some that are definitely more difficult to get than others. Even that m*****f***** Will Wade I would accept with a turned up nose because he could win, particularly with the NIL we have. Sorry, USPS.
  17. He also earlier in the season really did not the situation that UCLA was in terms of conference travel. Right now they have a lot of long trips to the Midwest/East Coast. On the opposite front, IU goes West once.
  18. Maybe Dave Bliss was the key. Hire him and the NEXT guy will absolute kill it (pun not intended).
  19. Announce? Not necessarily. Will it be widely known? Maybe.
  20. For a couple of reasons: 1. The coach to be was still coachong 2. There wasn’t the rush to get players from the portal
