this isnt devastating to the team or program and it's way too early to call moren a bad hire. she was successful at indiana state and u of indy. sycamore fans were bummed to lose her. after she recruits and molds her first cycle of players for her system, then we can truly opine and discuss whether she's fit to continue this job. departing is an undersized playmaker whose role will be assumed by buss and two players who saw reduced or minimal minutes. thats it, not as much as people are making it out to be. the classes are more balanced now. buss, walter, mcbride, gassion, cahill, royster, stratman, anderson is a rotation with ample potential. could use another pg. no reason that unit cant gel and improve on 15 wins. it's not like the position or this program has pressure to win big. it hasnt been to the ncaat since 2002; hasnt advanced past the 1st round since 1983. the goal is to progress into a consistent competitor in a tough conference. moren's programs at u of indy and indiana state progressed admirably and she's coached in several postseasons. glass obviously thought she's earned the shot to achieve that goal. progression will be easier if she and the players feel positive fan support, so i do too.

it'd be cool to see a hoosier duo of phegley and johnson starting for the white sox next year. could see as many as five hoosier alum called up to the show next season if they perform well in aa-aaa, including dickerson in san diego, dunning in san fran and o'gara in miami. who knows, maybe if schwarber keeps doing his best babe ruth impression he'll be a september call-up. eagerly awaiting the big justin upton trade... any hour now...

haha, couldnt possibly understate how bad this stream is. they show a replay after every boston college bucket and miss half or all of the ensuing indiana possession. I don't think I've seen us shoot one of our nine free throw yet, since apparently staring at the eagles logo is more important. and I have a blanket draped over the right side of my laptop to hide the score which is a couple minutes ahead. good thing our frontcourt is so talented, because the post defense needs a lot of work. the awful officiating doesn't help. stratman will help next year. a jakubicek return this season might too.

read it on twitter, didn't mention severity or arthroscopic surgery. if what you say is true, that's a much more positive outlook than what I assumed. we could certainly use her talent in the frontcourt, especially in big ten play. it's concerning she hasn't played in a game since early 2012, though. she had knee and foot problems prior to this unfortunate incident, have no idea how she was progressing from it all. such minimal coverage of iuwbb. hope she stays persistent and finds the court in the near future.

just read jakubicek tore her meniscus a month ago. mo creek II unfortunately.

I'm confident that the bankers life fieldhouse custodial staff will do the right thing tonight and clean every freakin square inch of the facility after the inbreds leave. safety first.

disagree. cant just be loyal regardless. there's such thing as tolerance and a line that can be crossed. though I think I was venting and speaking more with my heart than my brain above. simply smart roster management would've kept jhey here. georgia kid, great role model and platinum gold glover with mammoth offensive potential, not that he's bad at the plate now. as well I see two of my favorites traded while the freakin uptons can still call themselves braves. makes me vehemently sick to see them in braves uniforms. if they're still braves in february, that might push me over the edge. do what you gotta do to get rid of bj. a dirty gumball machine would do just fine. justin upton to seattle is a hot rumor right now. pretty much any combo of austin jackson, dj peterson, james paxton and tijuan walker would be a nice return.

cant lie, it's really appealing. + just drafted schwarber and acquired la stella + most of my friends are cubs fans; games are consistently on tv here; 7-hour difference in the distances from indy to chicago and atlanta + maddon might be the coolest manager/coach in sports; epstein inspires confidence + freed up money will soon build a great rotation and once the plethora of young studs get called up and gain comfort, could see a 5-plus-year stretch like the giants just enjoyed + the central is more competitive than the east - I've never liked wrigley, needs to be put out of its misery; really the only con I can think of though braves have over-tested my patience recently. - letting go of former fan favorites and faces of the franchise jhey, prado, huddy, bmac, etc, replaced by players you couldnt possibly win in the postseason with like justin upton, chris johnson and evan gattis, front office has pissed off the fanbase - the money that would've resigned jhey went to bj upton and chris johnson; abysmal player and roster management the past 3-4 years - the feast or famine offense of past couple years is hard to watch and it looks to continue with the appearance they've favored justin upton over jhey; only team that didn't outscore us in 2014 was padres - la stella, one of my favorites, didn't get a fair chance imo - wren disrespected huddy with a 1yr / $2mil offer following a great career with the braves - after wren was fired, the subsequent move of trading his son kyle, a solid cf prospect, to milwaukee for next-to-nothing was classless imo - cant deny it, the laughing indian logo is racist and the tomahawk chop might be too - few games are on tv; tough being a distant fan - the division sucks, fillies fans have a great argument of being the worst in baseball, and bryce harper couldn't be a bigger tool, so I'd be glad to get the hell out of there the more I think about it, the closer I get.

cubs & cardinals just acquired great players. saying I'm an unhappy braves fan would be an understatement. doesn't even feel like the braves anymore without jhey, prado, huddy, bmac, etc. hate what they've turned into. loyalty starts to break down when who/what you're trying to be loyal to makes despicable decision after despicable decision. cant believe I'm actually considering becoming a cubs fan.

we need to find out what the ncaa record is for combined total threes made by a school's men's and women's programs in one season. seems we're primed to contend for it.
-
msu is overrated as well. we stay healthy and focused and prove to be one of the nation's most lethal 3-point threats, a fourth place finish in conference isn't far-fetched. there doesn't look to be a big jump between any two teams of indiana, nebraska, michigan, msu, illinois, maryland and minnesota. assessing 1-14 -- three teams stand out, four teams wont be too competitive, and the remaining seven will be in a dogfight.

greg murray is a phenomenal commentator, masterful for his age. he's my age, had a class with him senior year (2012). I've heard him coined as "the voice of IU baseball" several times. he'll be just as prominent within IU athletics as jeremy gray and chuck crabb. he and gray sound very similar.

this team would be fortunate to win 35 games, but I love watching them play. they bust their asses and play team basketball. solo is starting to realize his potential. I like watching copeland too, even if he tries to do too much sometimes. hibbert needs to go. surely we'll be shopping him as the deadline approaches. realgm trade checker says he has trade bonus though. I dont know what that means.

uindy wbb is an above average d2 program, a good pick for the season-opening competition. their coach, constantin popa, is the tallest coach in ncaa history at 7'3". played for the miami hurricanes. the image of him standing next to coach moren in the postgame line, ha. she probably hurt her neck. 'holy skyscraper batman'

hope jakubicek isn't mo creek II. unfortunately that's the way it appears. atta girl cahill. double-double... how tom pritchard of you.

if she's not too affected by the acl tear suffered in summer 2013, jakubicek should be the biggest incoming contributor. also broke her foot in 2012, so hopefully she can stay on the floor. mac freshman of the year in 2012 under miller. has two more years of eligibility. too bad stratman, the transfer from butler, big east defensive poy, has to sit out this year. her post presence is sorely needed. with everybody sans mize returning for 15-16, iuwbb is primed to be an ncaa tournament contender next year barring any major injuries. I'm guessing depth chart is: brooks / buss / mize agler / muensterman / mcbride gassion / leikem / walter jakubicek / cahill anderson 3 games on btn. majority will probably be trumped by a random overplayed rerun. sad.

obviously glass cant say crean is sunbathing on mercury right now, but you can not look at the past year's events and explicitly say the coach isn't partly at fault. that's a glaring lack of objectivity and honesty. I'm one of your biggest fans, fred, and think you've done a helluva job in b-town. but c'mon now, nobody appreciates being fed bullsnot.

hope the braves front office dislodges its head from its collective ass and takes a note from the giants on how to win, start rewriting the "braves way" that hasn't advanced past the nlds in 13 seasons. it's about reliable pitching depth, a lineup full of gritty, professional hitters, defenders that care about not allowing a runner an extra base, baserunners that take every base they can, and a clubhouse filled with veteran-like confidence and poise supplemented by little league camaraderie. nothing about power in there. nothing about high-paid players. power-hungry lineups like the braves in recent seasons don't win consistently, have slim-to-none odds of being a true contender. contenders don't have players like justin upton. i'll be immensely disappointed if he isn't traded. his brother is as good as gone, along with an unearned 75 million. about **** a brick when I saw j-up was nominated for a gold glove, serving as this year's annual reminder that it's a complete joke of an award. the dude infuriated me nightly with his lackadaisical play in left. imagine a freshman christian watford making 14.25 million. if your team lands him, that's what you're getting.

maybe obatskii, weavers and I should reignite the braves banter up in here... just kidding, wont fill this thread with manure. worst offense I've ever seen in atlanta. stopped watching games 3-4 weeks ago. we just allowed the fashionals to celebrate a division title on our turf for f*ck's sake. I remember ranting on old hsn the day we signed bj upton to an all-star contract. obatskii somewhat defended it. I was mind-blown, thought it was inevitable he couldn't live up to half that contract. it turned our far worse than anybody had ever imagined. we'll never do anything in the postseason with the uptons on this team. his apathetic, clutch-allergic brother is an mvp candidate for half the season, completely worthless in the other. our gm inexplicably gave chris johnson, owner of .263/.294/.357 hitting line, a 3y/$23.5m extension earlier this season. didnt even wait a couple months to see if an option(s) to assume third would emerge, which of course has. just another bad contract that will likely disable us from resigning our best player next offseason. I really liked wren pre-2013, thought he might've been a real-life wizard. now I think he needs to be replaced. /rant. cardinals fans- if you're playing the nats in october, I'm taking a full-time, temporary position as passionate cardinal fan.
