Bottom line people shot their shot on a free message and turned out to be wrong. It’s over and IU has a new coach. The why it didn’t happen is irrelevant and not important. It’s done. IU hired a sitting Power 5 coach. The only other program that I can think of in the last couple years to hire a sitting Power 5 coach was Arkansas because the fanbase of Kentucky was running him out. Looking forward to when the coaching search posters fade away and banners is back to the locals that actually want to be here posting about IU basketball. In time most will be on board and we will have Summers to focus on high school recruiting.

Comparing a A-10 team to a Big 12 team. Bold strategy I would think the competition might be a little stronger in a league that got 8 teams in the field and most will argue should have got 9. WV was in 100 percent of the brackets submitted

Who cares. Underwood had 2 of the worse seasons historically at Illinois in his first 3 years and Purdue lost to a 16, 15, 14, 12 seeds in the tourney. Probably more offer which double seed painter needs to fill in the infinity gauntlet. I’m in a group chat with Purdue fans and they said can’t believe IU actually hired a quality coach. Regardless of whether you wanted anyone else or not it’s time to get behind an actual college basketball coach leading the program you are invested in. No need to call out anyone on stuff that didn’t end up happening or playing the I told you so card. IU program has moved on and so should this message board.
