Do you think Purdue lost on purpose to get the 7th seed just so their Seniors get a chance at playing IU again so they finish 5-4 against them? Joking of course but crazy how the bracket falls.

IU losers of 5 out if their last 6 is probably still going to be projected in the last 4 in for some bracketologist because everyone around them is losing. Wade has lost 6 of his last 7 games Iowa is in danger of losing 6 out of their last 8 with a loss at Nebraska tomorrow SMU has lost 4 straight Auburn is about to lose 8 out of its last 10 games Please no tournament expansion.

IU could have been projected solidly in the field if they scheduled better in the non conference. No reason for the program as it is to today to be scheduling games like Kentucky and Louisville. Fans want them but they do 0 for the program and have done 0 for them the last 4 years. They have been easy Q1 wins for the other teams that help their resume. IU would have been better off scheduling lower level power 5 programs or even Miami(oh) and that would have giving them a better chance at improving their resume. Iowas “big” non conference wins this year were Grand Canyon and Ole Miss (4-14 in conference) and that gave them 2 Q1 wins.

A&M/LSU headed to 3OT

Has to be Northwestern so they add a Q2 win and then Purdue would be the best option for the 7th seed to get another opportunity for a high Q1a win. UCLA or Ohio st would be the other options depending on how the rest shakes out

If you want some hope you have to hope his roster building was a 1 time bad thing and he will build better for next year. However for this year he constructed a mid major all star team to play against a top 30 overall SOS and with unbalanced schedules in the B1G played the 2nd hardest B1G schedule out of 18 teams (Ohio State played the hardest). Tough sledding for a flawed roster. B1G is unforgiving. Purdues preseason number 1 team in the land could finish tied for 6th with UCLA if they win tomorrow and will be seeded 7th after tiebreakers with a ucla win

A couple weeks ago someone asked if going 2-2 in the last 4 would have been enough and I said it would all depend on that others around the bubble did but that could have been enough. Well looking at what others have done all IU had to do was beat Northwestern and Minny at home and they are probably in with room to spare.
