Oh boy. 3 top 5 teams all lose to unranked teams. That has to be a first in college bball history.

Dakich: Blackmon couldn't guard a chair
chitown hoosier replied to incrediboy's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Like I said, I don't think he's wrong. But Those kind of comments pointing out certain players should be done on his show, not as a commentator of college basketball games. As a commentator he can point out how Blackmon is struggling with defense but to put him down is not necessary. I really could care less how much insight he has on IU basketball. -
Great day of basketball. IU wins, PUke pUKe and Duke all lose.

DD isn't wrong but something about an old man bashing college kids irks me. These kids aren't pros who make money off of playing ball. Just a douchebag move IMO -
IU vs Duke Post Game Thread

Well from yesterday's debacle we at least learned one thing. TB is no where any way close to being a one and done. More than anything else, I was disappointed in rebounding. It's one thing to give second and third chances to teams like Alcon state but you do that to duke and you get the crap we saw last night. Does this team not know how to box out? Boggles my mind. -

I'm done too. I might be done with Crean as coach too after being so patient. What a horrible start to the season. -

Coach K and his devil smirk. -
Purdue is legit. At least we have a big who can bang now. Just depends on for how long until he gets into foul trouble. Last years game plan sucked against them. Hopefully this year we can shoot like we normally do and put up a good game against them.

Wow. What is going on this season. Crazy
-
Man what is going on with the teams in our conference. It looks like us and MSU are the cream of the crop early on.
-
Highly underrated this year. They got shooters to go with their bigs. We match up better with them this year though.

IU vs. Michigan Post-Game Thread
chitown hoosier replied to HoosierReb01's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
When you have Jordan Howard, you give him the ball. It's so simple that I just don't understand. It's like the bonehead play by Seattle in the Super Bowl last year. -
(2016) PG Curtis Jones to IU
chitown hoosier replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Yup. I know this is just lip service right now but these are the kids I want at IU too. Kids who know that it's going to take hard work to succeed. -

This can only help us with Bridges. Hopefully we can somehow pry him away -

PITT Transfer Josh Newkirk is headed to IU!

I actually agree with 99% of the above post which boggles my mind. Let's wait and see before we write off these 2 commits. -
I'm worried about in-state recruiting.
chitown hoosier replied to FKfootball's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
If this is true than why was Blackmon arguably the teams worst defender last year? Why was an east coast kid in Johnson better? I'd bet money that Bryant will be one of our best defenders this year. Defense is more about hustle and effort than having knowledge about defensive principles. -

1. Crean didn't go out of his way to recruit Sheehey. He fell into the picture because of the Melo recruitment. Will may not have been able to carry the team his senior year but he still was a solid 4 year guy and let's not forget that. It's hard for anyone to lead the team when they lose 4 starters from the previous year. 2. Few likes to give Crean any account for developing Olaidipo but it's funny how Victor himself praises Crean. I might not have any inside information but I think I could take a highly educated guess that Coach had something to do with his development. 3. Davis was not guilty of poor timing. He was drinking the night of the accident and made a stupid decision that almost killed him. Then he decides to have a "small baggie" of marijuana on him while he smokes up in the dorms. That is not poor timing. That is idiotic. If Crean hadn't gave him the boot then this whole board would be in uproar. There are many sides to the truth. It can be twisted whichever way to support ones beliefs. Doesn't mean anyone is right or wrong. -

You're contradicting yourself right now. These past champions either recruited all over or were heavily focused on the east coast. You can bring up wisconsins butlers Michigan states all you want but the simple fact is that they didn't win it all. No one remembers the runners up. -
JaQuan Lyle off the board
chitown hoosier replied to CottageGrove's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Sorry worded it wrong. Not going to be someone who we want to play regularly. May not be the smartest kid but basketball wise he is very very good -

So is Michigan better than we think or is Nebraska just worse than we think. Hmmm

(2015) C Thomas Bryant to IU
chitown hoosier replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
She just probably wants him close to home like most mothers do. in the end it will be his decision. If he is a smart kid he will see he benefits of playing for IU.
