I have always thought Davis was a lock honestly. Maybe we can find Neon Beadeaux down in the Louisiana swamps.

It's pretty simple. Either Crean recruits well enough to keep his job, or he doesnt. So we either get Davis and some of our other targets, or we won't and it will lead to him getting fired. Bottom line.

Adding to the list does not sound encouraging. If Crean whiffs on this class.......

If it makes u all feel better, UK barely squeaked out a win over a team about like SIU. Their defense was atrocious in the 2nd half. And Purdue most likely loses to Marshall tomorrow, so it's all good boys.

It's not like we were missing some freshman. It was Latham, Scales, Green, Gooch, and Dutra. Plus Fant didn't play in the 4th qtr. We were basically missing the best defenders on our team. But man, the 3 Srs Mangieri, Rayner, and Shaw were terrible.

Yeah, but Vandy is worse then we are.

Illinois will be better. Bill Cubit is the Interim HC and he's a better coach than Beckham ever thought he was.

They have a 4 star RB that we recruited very hard and finished 2nd for. He's a stud.

Most recruits know that IU fans want Crean fired. I'm personally hoping he turns it around but he should have left and went somewhere else. It would have benefitted both sides. But he's here, and I support the coach and team.

Josh Newkirk is in the Tracy Abrams mold. He's fine. He can play in the Big Ten. He is good enough for IU.

Against NC State, he went 5-5 from 3 and scored 20 points. He's quick and he can defend. I think he's a Big Ten caliber PG.

Well, he has a season in our program to get better. I always liked him.

I agree with everything u guys just said. A lot of fans are bandwaggoners. I'm an IU football fan of course and an Oakland Raiders fan. That explains the loyaly I have. Have I been negative? Of course. But have never strayed from any of my teams especially Indiana basketball.

The problem is, that this kid grew up a Duke Basketball fan. That should tell us all we need to know. I have a ton of respect for the kid admitting that too. But we have a problem with the lack of youths in our fanbase. Down here in the deep southern Indiana, if u walk around in a high school like Floyd Central, New Albany, Jeff, or Silver Creek, you won't find anything but kids who are UK or UofL fans. IU just doesn't attract fans anymore unless it's a family legacy thing like my family. It's no wonder that we have a hard time recruiting the state. Half of the kids are UK fans. I don't blame Crean for any of this. 1 problem is we have had a bunch of ADs (Glass included) that still think it's 1980. IU needed a brand new Arena, Nike Apparell, and a big name coach. We are 0-3 there and that's why were only an above average program.

The problem is, that we landed him and not Kyle Guy. Crean is a lame duck coach and most of the State knows it. We need a big season.

People said Kellen Dunham sucked back a few years ago. Gelon would have went to Butler had we not grabbed him.

No. I like the guy a lot. We have had some bad breaks in his tenure. We have recruited a lot better, but this 2016 class isn't promising. I think it means this season is absolutely critical.

I have been scratching my head about this for a while. I absolutely cannot rap my head around the fact that of the top 15 recruits in Indiana 13 of them are committed and none of them to Indiana! That is absolutely absurd! Kentucky for comparison sakes, they are as bad as we have been the last few years, but they are killing us in recruiting. They have 5 of their top 10 in-state prospects. Including their top 3(all four star prospects.) Wilson needs to make a statement this year or I'm on board with hiring a re-tread like Ron Zook who can actually recruit some of the best players in our state.

We need Bryant to have early success. It's a good selling point to a kid like Davis.
