    I also think Phinisee will open some eyes. He will fit right in with at IU. Just a steady Indiana kid that knows how to win.

    I wouldn’t call the current state of IU basketball a dumpster fire. Overall I’m excited about IU basketball.

    Since ESPN broke the story Darius went from thousands watching the commitment to just a handful. I’m happy for the kid and following his heart but the publicity and interest just isn’t there for Vanderbilt.

    Vanderbilt’s last 3 classes were ranked 10, 14, and 8 in the SEC. I think I’ll wait and see what they can do but I don’t see them ever being in the NC conversation even if they do land 3 five stars for next year.

    Romeo makes puts us in the conversation if he comes to IU. Is A freshman Shittu better than a Junior DeRon Davis? What else will Garland have around him to make Vanderbilt a contender?

    I wanted Darius to come here but we have Durham and Phinisee. Add Romeo to the guards we have and it still gives us a roster that can make some noise.

    If I’m Darius and watching an IU game I’m noting the amount of good shots our guards are missing. He can step right in and be a star and excel in that system.

    Dan Blocker played Hoss and Michael London played Little Joe in Bananza. A country western series. Somebody said if DArius announces at Ponderosa then he is coming to IU. The Ponderosa is the name of the Ranch on the tv series. Sorry for the long explanation.

    I get the feeling Vandy is trying to do and say everything possible to get a commitment. It smells of desperation to me.
