Would be a great pick up if in fact he got his issues squared away. He wasn't admitted into UCF but that doesn't mean he hasn't turned it around and hit the books. He was a stud recruit coming out of high school. Offers from Florida St., USC, Oregon, Miami, Nebraska...would love to have him redeem himself at IU!

Time to start recruiting Isaac James as a QB? Played QB for Carmel...just needs to develop his arm.

 Caufman left because he knew he was behind Tre and Sudfeld and would never get playing time unless they both got hurt. Tre left because he didn't want to play in a system where he didn't know whether he was going to start until a day or two before the game. Also he knew that if he had a poor game, he would be benched in favor of Nate. So you can't blame either one of those guys for leaving.   Gunner? Well he had commitment issues...and not just to IU. Stevens? Can you blame him after the season we've had? Still screw James Franklin, I hate that guy!

People seem to forget that Sudfeld had only played through the first half of the season and the offense showed flashes of what it could be. If he would have stayed healthy, our young and inexperienced offense would have improved to the point where we could be at 6 wins by this point in the season. We were only down 10 points when he went down at Iowa and if we would have had Nate, we could have won against an awful Michigan team and a below average Penn St.   Wilson will get another season to get us to a bowl game. The defense is improving under Knor, the offense will improve with more experienced receivers. At least Wilson has all of his players showing some pride for this program and at least we are not hearing about arrests and failed drug tests from the football players (even though we all know they're out partying too.) 

Zander throws for 200 yds and 2 TDs, Coleman runs for 130 yds with 1 TD, Roberts does his thing with 70 yds and a TD....our defense comes out with a sense of urgency and creates havoc for Hackenberg to the point where he argues with his teammates and punches James Franklin in the face when he tries to calm him down...Tommy Stevens decides to stick with his initial decision and bring his talent to IU!   IU 31 PSU 10

Anybody hear about Lance Leipold, the Wisconsin-Whitewater coach that got to 100 wins in 106 games? Has also won 5 Division III national championships?  I know it's not Division I Football but it's still impressive and shows a great ability to coach. Maybe he would take a shot at making IU into a winning program.

I agree with giving Wilson 2 more years. People forget that although there is talent on the team, the team is still really young. You can see the pieces starting to come together. Simmons, Scales, Fant, Latham...this young defense will only get better.

Not like we had much of a chance anyways but I wonder why the move? If it was injury-related, I'm sure they would have disclosed it. Our line better do a good job of protecting Zander, otherwise we might see Boudreau and/or Cameron on Saturday.

 You are right about not giving Lynch this many seasons without a bowl but at least we can see improvement with Wilson's teams. As for Lynch, the team and recruiting was in decline season after season. Some recruits would chose playing for MAC teams as opposed to playing for IU! Now we are actually competing against some major programs for talented recruits. As for not having a backup QB, it is unfortunate but who would have guessed that Tre would leave? I trust the coaches when they say Covington is the best option we have. Now, if next season we don't see improvement on all facets of the game, then we can start speculating whether we should replace Wilson or not.

Is Covington the best QB option we have right now? Wish we would give Diamont or Boudreau a chance.

Without Sudfeld I don't know if we can get back into this game....tough break.
