Why do all of these former players speaking glowingly about Crean is the question. If he's such a horrible human being and mentor.

There's basically zero chance Crean gets fired anytime soon.

What I'd heard indicated playing time played a factor, but it wasn't the biggest factor. Whether Booker went there or not wasn't going to affect his perspective of what his playing time would be. He's better, so why would he care if Booker went there.

I assume Indiana will sign both players. The rule has changed. You used to be able to sign one over what you have leaving. Since we have zero leaving, that would be one. But now, both can sign and Indiana has to provide their plan for how it will work. No idea what they report on that...   There were 600 some transfers this year; at least two guys will seek more playing time. Hartman is the only one I could see wanting to stay no matter his minutes.   IMO this is all an example of worrying about something for the sake of being worried. There's literally no scenario where it doesn't work out. If you aren't cutting it as a player, you are not guaranteed anything. Players have to hold up to their end of the bargain. If a kid is doing all he can do athletically and academically, and then he is jettisoned, that is absolutely not right. But that has yet to happen at Indiana and I doubt it will happen.

It was more than just being the man, though. Rumor has it that some aid was in play with that signing. Not nearly the amount that Anthony Davis, etc. command, but still. Wish IU would play Xavier.

This. I don't see why IU would sign anyone in November at this point. How does Crean explain that, honestly? It's not like we have a Zeller who is guaranteed to leave.

Christian was one of the first "big" recruits for Crean. What a nice career he had at IU. Won't hold my breath that he'll make the Celtics, but it sure would be great to see him catch on with an organization like that.
