I sometimes think Yogi's physical strength is held against him. He gets fouled a lot. You kind of have to foul him to keep him from blowing by you.

(2016) PF De'Ron Davis to IU

It won't be for a lack of effort; gotta close the deal! -
It's too bad Xavier put 75K down on a house.

Derek Elston - IU Director of Player Development
shortspacequickness replied to ccgeneral's topic in Hoosiers in the Pros
That 2009 class was such a great foundation. Hulls and Watford made their mark, if only Derek and Mo had been healthier... Derek is one of a kind; that's no exaggeration. Fantastic that these guys are staying connected with Crean/IU. -

(2015) C Thomas Bryant to IU
shortspacequickness replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I wasn't addressing you specifically. No worries! I know that isn't what you meant; just stating that there weren't many minutes for Hanner especially after missing the first 9 games where he could have played a ton in blowouts. As for April, I'd much rather play Priller as he has something to offer. Burton and Richie would be better than April. They at least compete. It's significant he hasn't played; in his mind I'm sure he knows he isn't cut out for this level. -

Hard to put him in a game over Cody Zeller I'd imagine... I don't think there's necessarily a conspiracy here against big guys; if you can play, you get on the court here. Doesn't matter what class you are in. Honestly I think Hanner would be best for a couple 4-5 minute spurts per game. IU has got to land Thomas Bryant. It's very sad that Hanner doesn't see the opportunity that's in front of him. All lip service. He could save his family. -

Nope. Mizzou sucks; IU is a perfect fit for what he wants. Have to wait until April. The month, not the player leaving. -

Pretty sure it said Bryant is a sure thing not to go to IU. Something about pacing. -

Settle down, bud. Don't get too excited. I know you get off to negativity towards this regime.

You have a lot of feelings, Wayne. Ha Let us hope this one breaks our way. Surely we can find someone better than April. -

Coach K lost just last year in the freaking first round with two lottery picks. I know, I know... He's built up "credit." Not comparing, but the "two top 5 picks and only got a sweet 16" line of thinking is about as dumb and short sighted as one could possibly be. -

Have to feel good about this one with probable doom in Syracuse... not to mention, the team that could return in 2015-16. Thomas Bryant has to see this, right? :good: -

Hanner's assertiveness has been encouraging... you're right on about the EWU loss. At the end of the day, that won't be a bad loss. We will have worse losses upcoming almost assuredly. Georgetown presents a challenge different than any other so far.

Hoosier Transfers and Recruiting Targets
shortspacequickness replied to WayneFleekHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Crean never, ever, ever said he'd wished he'd kept recruiting Trey Lyles. He actually said that sometimes a decommitment is the best thing that can ever happen to you. Tom Lyles is scum...that was going to blow up at some point. As an aside, if Dunham were at IU you same guys would be castrating him for his defense. He committed so early; IU would've offered if he'd stayed open IMO but they definitely preferred other guys in that class. -

What amazes me about Sudfeld is his weight... how, as a junior, is he that skinny? He's got a decent frame... -

Never going to get it. Still perpetuating 100% false information about Noah, as well, I see.... Sad. As seen with the leak to Jeff Goodman, there is a wealth of misinformation out there about Crean and his program. Certain factions will believe anything if it fits their Brad Stevens fantasy.
