That sounds fair to me. Crean got 9, but had to take 2-3 just to clean the program up and get it back on its feet. My first instinct, however, tells me the guy that coached Dayton to the elite 8, then to two tourney wins with no player over 6'6" (after he had a player die, two dismissed and a 4-star freshman miss 21 games) won't have that much trouble getting there.
Might not be a "grand slam" today, but I don't see people struggling to back Archie like they would Alford. Considering Archie was one of my favorites at the start of the search, I'm pumped for what he can bring to IU basketball! Let's get #6!
Only other "sourced" info he's posted in the last 5 days, amidst a swirl of rumors, is that we hired the search firm... This seems like the most believable thing I've seen all day and probably all week.
And today the IU fans' emotional pendulums swing back to the positive, happy side of possibly (likely?) false assurance. Damn, I hope Jadlow is right! Would absolutely lose my $h¡7 if we announced Billy as coach tonight... Or tomorrow... Or Sunday, Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday....
Wow. There was one point when the announcers said Zona had as many O-Rebounds (13) as Xavier had total rebounds. The rest of the game, Zona only got one OREB. I get so frustrated when underdogs lose because they let the bigger, more athletic favorite get crucial OREBS on shots at the end of the game. Mack and the Musketeers didn't let that happen. I'd argue Mack got his team to make a very important adjustment which may have saved the game for them. Just gonna say, our old coach barely ever did that.
