This happens everywhere, Kentucky is just able to take it to the next level with their funding and boosters. One of my friends mom would hand out stacks of target gift cards to IU Bball players under Davis and Sampson. Bracey Wright got a brand new sports car the moment he showed up on campus. back to UK tho, I recall a story where Ryan Harrow was seen leaving the U.K. Facilities with a couple briefcases allegedly stuffed with cash...

The Maui Tourney I think is contracted years in advance. It's kinda wonky.  I think we got our invitation the year we beat UK and everyone thought "we were back" for good!   I remember reading somewhere that UK and some other schools actually turned down the Maui Tourney in place of other domestic tournaments.  Lemme see if I can dig up an article or something.   Update: https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=kentucky%20turns%20down%20maui%20invitational   Looks like they turned it down back during April 2013.  Mentioned traveling being a burden. /shrug

  The harsh truth is... we're just not elite anymore.   It's a shame that a team like MSU is playing in it, instead of us.

The sad thing is... and it's also my biggest concern is that, it's starting to become the standard now. Duke and Coach K are emulating the same system/process.  Scary to think it's one of those... "get on board, or get left behind" type of scenarios.

okay lets be real here. it wasn't even close to a punch, i dont think he even made a fist. it was like a wimpy back-handed slap. should've been a flagarant, but cmon man... don't fabricate a punch xD.  if anything it reminded me of a back-handed pimp slap :P

  I don't think Cal is leaving... ever... i think he is just using the NBA opportunities to get an even fatter paycheck from UK.   As for the SEC, i heard on ESPN the other day that they might be the #1 conference next season with all their highly touted incoming recruits (especially LSU).  That being said... I'll believe it when I see it. I just can't view the SEC as a serious basketball conference lol

not arguing, but what are some other "bad" undefeated teams?   I'm only 24, so I haven't been following cbb for that long, the teams that i can remember off the top of my head are...   -Jameer Nelson's St. Johns team - dont remember what year -that Illionois team that lost to UNC in the NCAA final head,brown,augustine,deron williams -wichita state last year   what other ones in recent memory are out there?

I think it's a bad year for the traditional powerhouses.. flordia, uconn, even LOU to a certain extent, are all underachieving.  There's definitely a lot more parity between this big marquee schools and mid majors now too

if Duke beats UK, it won't be because of okafor imho. The guards will need to step up their D and be on fire from 3. Kentucky, Texas, LSU, baylor maybe?, Unc kinda, and a few other schools have the luxury of huge frontline which can contain the big fella. That's not to say, he can't have a really good game and get them all into foul trouble, *shrug*

  I know this is a UK vid, but boy do I wish our team had this type of brotherhood and bond amongst our teammates.  If troy and stan could bond the same way these UK guys did I'm sure our play would be exponentially better.   edit: i guess I could also tack on that, like many have said or figured out already...
