  1. my gut ate too many cookies yesterday. Hope you're eating well.
  2. It's tough when you're a fan and you have an emotional attachment with that team. You hope that the least the administration can do is act in good faith. I have experience with this as a Mets (new owner is awesome though) and (former) big US Soccer fan. I can live with on field mistakes but when administration doesn't do the most basic obvious decision and there is no end in sight it's time to protect your mental health and move on. I quit caring about US Soccer because of nepotism and a system that is so corrupt that there is no way we can develop players that can compete with the best in the world. I'm still a hardcore Mets fan because even though we still stink the new owner is making solid decisions that will hopefully make us a great club more consistently. IU is at an impasse with me. I love my time as a student and fun I had watching IU basketball with my friends, but if we're only hanging on to a coach because he knows the right people, then quite honestly how can anyone believe that we'll find success one day? I think my time is better served letting my dog play in the woods or bribing my Niece and nephew to become Mets fans by funding a trip to NY comic con so they can be the best geeks they want to be. Good luck with everyone here finding that balance and treat yourself right.
  3. Is there anything I can do? Maybe if I volunteer myself in a dunk tank we can raise the money to buy out Woodson. I once had a roast of myself at the Carolina Inn amongst faculty and friends.......... no joking the line went out the door with volunteers. Lots of questions about myself that night.
  4. Only reason you were right first is because I was too angry to write until the 23rd page lol
  5. I will say this. When Malik committed the fifth foul, Woodson had fear in those eyes. Perhaps realizing his job is in the balance.
  6. This is were I think degrees matter. Beard= absolutely not. Pearl might be sleazy but I hate to say it , but a majority of coaches are a bit sleazy. I would classify Roy Willams and Coach K as sleazy in their own way. When you're adults trying to recruit under 18 year old kids and trying to beat another school for a recruit things get sleazy. Sleazy within the realm of basketball is fine with me. Horrible acts like well beard is a no no. There's a line.
  7. I don’t think Pearl would demand it. Besides it’s not like a team wouldn’t give his son a chance. Minnesota gave Pitino’s kid one…
  8. Hey I didn’t get coffee yet.
  9. So far my top three would be 1. Pearl 2. Oats 3. May Pearl just knows Ball and he can at least give us the correct perspective of what it takes to build and maintain a program. Plus if you think about it there is some upside. He would now work for blue blood program for his first time (at least I think we can be again). He has the southern recruit scene covered and with the Midwest ground that could give us a chance for a final four run in a six year window. Age is just a number for me but context matters. I was negative about Woodson but I wouldn’t be for Pearl. Pearl loves the entirety of college basketball. Oats is a younger version of Pearl and May, with a proper defensive assistant coach, can work as well. May at least has humility and doesn’t mind readjusting.
  10. I wonder how media people really feel about Woodson. Even ITH is being very critical. Wonder if they feel annoyed by him as well.
  11. wow I'm looking at the the hiring Mike Woodson thread..... I'll accept your letters of apology. I still love you guys..... on Thursdays
  12. ha I was so angry I first commented on the 23rd page lol
