  1. Nervous about the KenPom projection of winning by 1/54% chance. Wyoming's post up usage of their PG/C and their ability to draw fouls combined with IU's 2 foul approach could lead to TJD and/or X being on bench for much of 1st half. I think the worst case scenario is this game has the pace/feel of the Rutgers/Wisconsin games where it is a close game throughout, but IU isn't able to pull away and folds late. I'm hoping IU is able to use their athletic advantage to get out in transition for some easy points, make three or four 3's each half and /or force double digit turnovers. If their able to do that, I can see IU making it a double digit win.
  2. I think it's been reported that he would decide shortly after his season ending in March or April, depending on how late his team goes in playoffs.
  3. My concern with play in would be playing a hot team like Oklahoma over a 6 seed that has had some struggles
  4. Hope we avoid Dayton. Think it will be a coin flip.
  5. I think we can relax first 4 if Memphis and Duke win today.
  6. I saw the same thing on Reddit. Basically none of duke’s acc opponents were ranked when they played. So example is unc who is ranked now but wasn’t in any of their games against duke.
  7. Hopefully out of first 4 in Dayton. Would prefer Virginia Tech, SMU, and Texas A&M to lose tomorrow just to help avoid that possibility. Obviously none of this is relevant, if IU takes care of business.
  8. So is IU now ahead of Rutgers, Michigan, VCU/Dayton, Notre Dame, Xavier, Wake Forest, SMU? Also, would IU jump Wyoming, Creighton, Memphis and Marquette with a win tomorrow?
  9. Agreed, key for iu in aac is Houston/Memphis final. A win for smu over Memphis or finals appearance could put 3 aac teams in over iu.
  10. If either or both of Michigan and Oklahoma get in with 3 games over .500 records, it will drastically change how power 5’s schedule ooc games.
  11. A lot of games have impact but most important games: UNC over VA Tech and Texas Tech over Oklahoma.
  12. IU will find a way to present that info to them. Whether they consider it or not is another thing.
  13. They have a strong net/ken Pom (low 40s), 6 q1/q2 wins, only 2 q3 losses, and top 100 schedule/decent non conference schedule. I would hope iu get judged ahead of them but they are a risk of being a surprise at large. Would rather they just win cusa tournament, so it’s a moot point.
  14. Thought he had the potential to replace Woodson. Great experience working with painter at Purdue and Stevens in nba. He’s originally from indiana and wife is an iu alum.
  15. So best outcomes to these are: acc: unc winning 2 in a row b12: Texas tech winning vs ou american: smu losing before conference final atlantic 10: luck probably 2 bid league pac 12: usc or UCLA win out mwc: chalk (think one of they’re 4 bids will win it
  16. I’m guessing these are the somewhat potential bid stealers for IU: ACC Virginia and Virginia Tech B12 Oklahoma American: SMU Atlantic 10 VCU and Dayton Pac 12: Colorado could get by an injured Arizona and get lucky in title game BIG: None imo bIg east: none maybe a non north Texas winner in cusa
  17. Hope Texas tech beats ou tomorrow and unc wins tonight and tomorrow. Hey if iu win today, they could win tomorrow. Would be crazy if the committee took 2 3 win over .500 teams in Michigan and OU
  18. Not worried about St. John’s. Don’t want ou to make the committee consider them.
  19. Could iu jump notre dame if they lose today and iu loses tomorrow?
  20. For the Virginia schools, I think you only need to get worried if they make it to finals of acc. So if unc loses tonight, then be worried.
  21. Nervous about Arizona right now against Stanford.
  22. Oh well. Miami was already pretty safely in the tourney. The hope for ACC is that none of the Virginia make the finals.
  23. Woodson can't keep his standard of 2 fouls sit out the 1st half, when IU is on the verge of getting blown out.
