I saw Seton Hall play against Butler last year in person. Delgado is an absolute monster, he is as strong of a player I have seen play. But he does his work on the boards mostly, Desi Rodriguez is the player that worries me. He is underrated and very much a matchup nightmare. I think I’m going to try and build hype and hope over the program and over the recruiting efforts as a whole. Getting invested in individual recruits is too up and down. Seeing some of these posts remind me why I left the board for awhile. We lose out on a top 10 kid to the school that is in his backyard, the one with the coach that has know him for 10 years, and with our coach being here for a few months and the world is ending. Just stop. We were in the running with a kid that we had no shot with a few months ago. We are in a great place right now. It’s gonna be a dogfight in recruiting, we will lose some and win some. I know it’s twitter and it’s about him, but Darius literally is retweeting everything that Rabby puts out about him. Just retweeted his primer for his decision. Maybe it’s because he has covered and put out the most about it, but man I want to believe it’s more than that.

Every crystal ball could switch to Vandy and every recruiting expert could guess that it’s Vandy today and it would not change my thoughts on this. The Garlands are playing this so close to the family, there’s very little chance(if not no chance) that anything leaks. Unless Rabby drops a hint or something, I don’t think anyone knows. No one has been closer to this recruitment than him and Daniels. So when the CB’s flip or when people come out and say it’s Vandy, don’t take it as gospel. People won’t know until we do or about 5 minutes before then.

Man this just feels like the choice is going to be IU. I know some, if not most think otherwise, but My gut is telling me it’s us. HH was a big turning point in this recruitment, I think we can all agree on that. If it is true that he was close to pulling the trigger for us after the visits, but held off to make the best decision for himself I think it solidifies it. He came off that visit and his family told him not to make an impulse decision, he then takes a few weeks to go over everything. His family writes down the pros and cons two weekends ago. Seeing everything on paper makes it clear what he had known since HH. Indiana was where his head and heart resides. That’s what his dad meant, he knew it was IU for weeks. The family meeting cemented it.
