everyone is going to do it eventually, someone has to be first. Too much money lost and too many problems dealing with the NCAA. It will happen eventually and bring down everything we know and love about college sports Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Hoosier Transfers and Recruiting Targets
MikeRoberts replied to WayneFleekHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
He was a role player on 2 sweet sixteen teams as a freshman and sophomore. He has sat out and worked hard on his game and will be for on the court purposes a senior. I don't see why he couldn't be one best players on the team and a team that could be a tourney team Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
it's all related. People have said here and for a long time that they want guys that really want to be here blah blah blah but as some have pointed out, I don't care if Cuse is his first choice and they get hammered by the NCAA and he ends up here as a result. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

that's pretty last minute and after he announced his decision date Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

is the second part your opinion or did you hear something from someone who would know? Just curious as it contradicts to some degree what I was told. And no, it wasn't like IU wasn't on his radar and he chose IU soley because of Booker, but it played a big part, are you saying it didn't? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

do tell then. Word I got was that he was interested in both but was interested in being a 1-2 year player and he thought UK would be a better fit for that reason but was concerned he wouldn't get enough PT at UK and scheduled his decision right after Booker was to decide as Booker was just one more guard potentially in his way of getting minutes. The stars aligned, I'm happy Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

pretty happy we got JBJ and UK was his choice until the last minute when UK took Booker over him. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Hollowell was pretty good in high school too... High school talent doesn't always translate to the college game obviously Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Look at all these posts complaining about something that isn't even there. When the Crean critics are quiet, rest assured, the Crean pumpers will be out in full force inciting and egging on the Crean critics. Let the good times be good and stop making anticipating negative posts about people. Today is an exciting day Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Sorry, it was completely tongue and cheek. I was just paraphrasing what other posters had written throughout this thread. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

I'm not following your post. I think you are agreeing with Rebel but then posting stuff that helps my statement as you listed a class that won a big ten and national championship and had Indiana hall of famers in it, all of which were more highly regarded and recruited players than Priller Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

IU did not recruit prillers in the 80s and 90s And who is treating him poorly? "He is transferring after this year, it was agreed upon with he and the coaches and it is a better situation than playing 4 years at incarnate word" Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Everyone is talking about OG like he is some freak athlete and perhaps he is, I just don't see it. If he were on the team this year would he even be top 5 in terms of athleticism? Speed, quickness, vertical? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Cool, you might be right, just figured based on Crean's past he would play OG at the 4. Would love to see some size at the 3 so I hope you are right Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

MikeRoberts replied to WayneFleekHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I agree that is his natural position and the one he will play at the next level if he gets there, but at IU based on Crean/team makeup, he plays the 4. That said, are Morgan and OG both fighting for that spot (the 4)? I just don't see OG playing the 3 at IU. To be clear, I agree with you and others on that they have different skill sets but at IU I can't imagine them not being 4s for the most part, watford and Troy being my reason for my statement. Thanks. Yeah, so I see they are not similar players beyond their size/build, but all 3 (including Troy) are 4's at IU right? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

i would say that this OG thread while a little off topic is not too far off. The discussion of late has been "where does OG's scholarship come from?" Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

You realize that Howard averaged 17/13 and Priller averaged 17/5 in high school right? If priller is an offensive weapon than so was Howard Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

IU double and tripled Shaq the whole game... We dared guys like Cesar to be the hero and they were for the first 10 minutes lighting it up, pulling ahead by like 16 points early. IU stuck to the plan of doubling and tripping shaq and the other inferior teammates of his eventually cooled off and we won. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

MikeRoberts replied to WayneFleekHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
It just so happens that I watched that entire game on YouTube at work on Wednesday and Nover got abused by shaq. We brought In Eric Anderson early and often to help as well as Henderson and doubled and sometimes tripled shaq everytime. We won because Knight destroyed that zone with Nover flashing to the middle of the paint and dishing or shooting immediately and Anderson and Henderson making virtually every bucket from the baseline.
