  1. Both men are likable and appear to be fine people but that shield of likability will start to quickly thin the longer results aren't met. I thought Allen did good job of seeing the writing on the wall. I'm hoping Woodson can do the same before any of those bridges start to catch fire.
  2. And looks like they might be working on destroying their own individual legacies as well from these latest developments.
  3. Agree. Indiana was down 10 at half and then caught fire. Inconsistent play has been one of the knocks on the Woodson coached teams
  4. Don’t be a jackass to coach and basically behave like an adult. 100% agree Correlating work ethic to when posts are made on the internet??? You lost me there.
  5. Whether crazy or sane, I think it shows the tremendous amount of support the right person would get.
  6. I understand that, but I feel I need to clarify that I don't believe that the actual head basketball coach for IU is on a traditional PIP per se, just saying I can see where has been approached by superiors that he's under a magnifying glass now.
  7. That was my flimsy analogy to suggest that maybe Woodson is already a dead man walking. I've seen several times over the years if an employee is placed on a PIP, then their fate is doomed and that it's merely a documentation tool to CYA. Just spit-balling that maybe Dolson is doing the same thing. Covering bases.
  8. More like promoted to the level of incompetence vs risen. “Risen” would imply it was earned and that’s not the case here IMO
  9. It sounds like the classic HR putting an employee on a PIP. Rarely does the PIP work to the advantage of the employee.
  10. Genuine question here but what leadership characteristics to you see in X? What makes you label him "leader on the floor"? Because a leader isn't something I would label him with. A competitor? Yes. Leader. No. If anything, that leader tag would go to Trey from my observations.
  11. Someone has already pointed this out but no other P5 school would have Woodson anywhere on their short-list of coaching names. To be completely honest, I'm not sure any mid-major schools would either but for some reason, he was good enough for IU.
  12. Give credit where credit is due; Ware had a really strong game tonight
  13. The last bullet point here really hit hard. No other program would’ve had Woodson anywhere close on their radar to be the head basketball coach
  14. I’m old enough to remember Bart Starr and Forrest Gregg coaching the Packers. Both Packer legends yet both failing at bringing the Packers to any glory. Both, to my knowledge, are still revered by Packers fans despite their unimpressive coaching efforts. My point is that I think Woodson’s legacy will be fine but only if he doesn’t try to be too stubborn with the reality of the situation. Great IU player that wanted to restore IU but simply wasn’t the guy.
  15. I feel that. Gotta keep the faith. And I’m not as well-versed as others here regarding resumes/stats of other candidates, but I have followed Pearl since I’m in southern Indiana. The man just wins and would be an instant upgrade and success in my opinion.
  16. I think the Stevens ship sailed 3 years ago. I’m surprised to see he’s still mentioned as a possible replacement at this point. EDIT: Don’t get me wrong, if the man had a change of heart and wanted the job then come on down! But he seemed to make his stance crystal clear
  17. She had a bit of a brain fart there with remembering Mack’s name.
  18. No doubt she’s a great player but some of those shots are ridiculous. And love that IU took it down and made her pay for it with the bucket
  19. 100% agree. Also 100% don't want that to happen! :-D
