  1. His discipline will probably be no team activities leading up to the game, but suiting up? Never in question.
  2. Barrel, before you go, please somehow convince Mullins to come to IU for one year.
  3. Or the 12-point blown lead to Kentucky. There were way too many blown double-digit leads this year…
  4. Goodness, what a hilarious thought
  5. Florida is making another elite 8. The south is mainly a joke IMO
  6. Makes it even sweeter when they lose to them
  7. USPS hate-watching NC State in Dayton >>>
  8. So you’re telling me there’s a chance
  9. The “not sponsored” closing line got me, man. Hornell Chili, you’re on the list.
  10. I sure hope you’re right… Heck at this point build out spots 1-8!
  11. I was one of those optimists. Now I’m seeing things for what they are much like you have been. He has no choice but to start things off with a bang, so I hope he’s working the back channels on someone like Flory as we speak…
  12. Got my hopes up opening this thread again
  13. What you said has been largely unspoken, but it’s true. Probably is going to help DeVries as a coach, too… Thinking about it more since the last game ended, he was kind of stuck with what he had and married to his decisions. He was never going to bench his son in his senior year. The first year, last year dynamic between those two could have tested their relationship, and I think CDD chose to focus on just giving it “their best.” Their best was not good enough, but maybe Coach DeVries’ is - I still want him to succeed as hard on him as I have been at times. But he’s got to get things in motion now.
  14. I was thinking along the same lines. Chris Ballard’s moves often leave you scratching your head… He got little return for Pittman because he was the one who overspent and signed him to a horrible team contract. The guy is a horrible negotiator and is only good at saving his own you know what. Constantly working uphill like you said… going no where.
  15. Of course it would be great given where we just finished! Start with 2 and then we’re cooking. He’s got to have two guards who can create and score. Then a 3 who can hit it from outside and guard most positions. The 4 can pick and pop and the 5 can scoop up the rest. Wilkerson said “get it hot” and with that sort of roster you can see it Now, can they defend? Serious question You would think…
  16. Being here at the United Center still seeing Hoosiers like me in IU gear the day after does make ya proud. Just goes to show there’s so much love for our university. That being said…it’s still dammit!!!
  17. Yes, Harris and Drake. Who knows what you’ve got with them, but if they are supposed to be serviceable then I guess you keep them for bench depth. I strongly feel we need to be recruiting for 4-5 starters.
  18. I mostly agree, but you’ve got to make the tournament in year 2 if you’re DeVries. You have got to stop the bleeding. That stat of missing the tournament in 8 of the last 10 years is damning. If he wants to be here for the long haul, he needs to start the next 10 years 1/1.
  19. If what you’re hinting at is true… ugh.
  20. The only player I would be disappointed to see leave is Sisley. I honestly hope most everyone is gone and we do have 8-9 new faces.
  21. Massive is right. Out of those 7, I say keep Sisley (if you can), Dorn and Miles. Let the rest go.
  22. Dreaming… Can Cignetti work as a consultant for the men’s basketball program? Where each prospect is required to meet with Cig before an offer with NIL is attached. Reason I say this is I got word this morning from a colleague with a legitimate connection to the team that after last night’s game, players admitted to checking out after the first NW loss. I feel like someone like Cig who can quickly figure out if a player’s mental fortitude is enough to withstand the grueling B1G is needed. Another interesting tidbit he shared: one player paid one of the walk-ons $400 to pick up dog crap in his yard. That’s very generous but also bonkers.
  23. Dorn, Miles, Harris, Drake, the two foreign freshman, and Sisley are who I would bring back to have some continuity, but I would be recruiting over them… so an entirely new starting 5. Ideally, 2 of the 5 are legit NBA prospects.
