  1. Cigs must really like his potential. Going to be a young room but maybe adding 2 QBs though the portal was cost prohibitive. Mendoza - RS Jr Cherry - RS Fr Jr Mendoza - RS Fr Bell - Fr (assuming we get him)
  2. Well it appears I was correct about Jackson not being our starter next year. Tough loss for our depth but I bet ccc will get a good qb or 2. Really hope he lands some lineman on both sides
  3. How would a Hemby/Bebee backfield compare to Lawton/Ellison?
  4. can we get the back judge to transfer?
  5. We will just take anyone that our defense has trouble stopping :) Hemby ran for 117 yards on 10 carries against us with that 1 TD. Maybe can work on improving the 11.7 yards per carry. :)
  6. whether you go JUCO, prep or NCAA is a choice. Sometimes a choice based on a other factors that may take away some of the options, like poor grades, but at the end of the day it's up to the player to which route he goes or can go. It would be like choosing to be a nurse and then later complaining about not making the same money as a doctor.
  7. Thanks for the article. Still think it's a load of crap. If JUCO doesn't provide enough NIL opportunities, then don't go JUCO. if his grades suck and he has to go JUCO then it's his own fault. cry a river but it's hardly unfair. Do you know why JUCO doesn't have NIL opportunities? Because no one cares to donate money for JUCOs. What next? People in other sports complaining because their sports aren't big money makers in NIL? Next lawsuit will be from the rowing team because NIL collectives aren't able to pad their wallets.
  8. I don't get why judges are getting a say in sports anyway. There's nothing illegal about setting limits to length of eligibility that I know of.
  9. Would Mendoza start at UGA? Hopefully not losing out on him. I think a Pribula vs Jackson competition might be pretty close. Neither really has a leg up on experience...Although Jackson would have an advantage of being in the system longer. Going after Bell is curious given CCC had recently commented that we don't need another young QB given that he took 2 in last class. Hopefully doesn't mean a transfer leaving.
  10. Did he have a choice or we going to have a mr. moody pants on the sideline? lol
  11. Given the costs for 8 catches, any guesses on what he will cost? lol Private jets to each practice and game? :)
  12. Cig wouldn't guarantee him a starting spot so it is a non-starter. Only way I could see it happening (on our side) is if we get Mendoza and TJ bolts such that he is brought in as a backup. However, he doesn't want to be a back-up so not going to happen.
  13. somebody give that guy a crystal ball stat.
  14. don't mess with my emotions like that lol
  15. Hope so. Definitely has a ton of interest from big time programs. Know for sure or just optimistic?
  16. Hope we get him. He would be in the same class as TJ so it would be interesting to see how that plays out given the loser of the competition could be facing the thought of never being a starter. Wonder if his brother being on the team helps or hurts. It could help being a connection but hurt if he doesn't want to push his younger brother farther down the depth chart
  17. But yet used logical reasoning for his opinion. Apparently opinions aren't allowed unless they are the same as your opinion?
  18. portal really shouldn't open until after playoffs/bowls are completed IMO.
  19. It all depends on how well we can replace our players that leave. If our team is just as good next year, then 10 wins is hardly farfetched. Our schedule is only slightly more difficult next year as we pretty much just switch out Michigan and OSU for Oregon and Penn State as our hard games. This isn't playing in the Big Ten East anymore.
  20. I don't see Cigs going after a back-up profile (unless he has failed at landing every player that is better). He will go after the best he can get and tell them to compete for playing time.
  21. true but starting next year we can also pay players directly in addition to NIL. And the NIL amount could be divided among multiple years even if not a contract.
  22. Even if that 2.5 million was a contract for multiple years and other big time recruits would be swayed by a 5 star QB commitment?
  23. Some schools would have offered the same amount...not all could have afforded the same amount either because their NIL isn't as good or they had already spent it elsewhere. I'm sure he liked Indiana well enough but us fans like Indiana without getting paid. My point (that's getting lost in the back and forth) is that it was a bad attempt at fan shaming.
