  1. Trey Lyles with 13 minutes again. Seems to currently sit about 8 or 9 on UK depth chart. There must be a little IU logo floating around in his brain wondering 'what if' as he rides the pine.
  2. Pitt beat Duquesne by 14 and SMU beats previously undefeated Wyoming. Nothing too big but helps our SOS nonetheless.
  3. Great game by Vic! Victor Oladipo, SG 37 9-12 1-1 1-2 0 1 1 6 1 0 1 0 +13 20
  4. I think Iowa State and Gonzaga are real contenders this year. Really impressed so far!
  5. Wade Baldwin 32 minutes 9 points for Vandy in loss to Baylor. Deng Deng 14 minutes 2 points for Baylor. Couple of unheralded guys we recruited a bit. Baldwin averages 8/5/6 in 27 minutes Deng Deng averages 5/3 in 12 minutes.
  6. Freaking hilarious! @SportsiCohn: #MadAnts up 70-69 in 3rd. BTW, Marcus Smart is 0 for 5 and scoreless for Red Claws. (Maybe I should drop him from fantasy team?)
  7. ASU drills UNLV by 22. GO goes for 8/5, which is better than his averages. Can't believe how bad UNLV is. 3 extremely high rated recruits in GO, Morgan, Vaughn. Some other talent too. I'm thrilled as they are high up in my Dirty School list. :)
  8. thanks pap. I remember him. I liked him. He had the whole twitter snafu about IU not recruiting him anymore or whatever. Not too bad of stats, but at a crummy bb school like VT I'm surprised he isn't getting more minutes.
  9. Notre Dame had 4 guys over 40 minutes tonight. Only really played 7 in an OT win. Crazy!
  10. Theo Pinson stinks again. I am record saying he was a project wing. It's proving more and more true. 0-2 tonight and 2 points. Pinson and Oubre are the worst 5 stars in some time. I imagine they breakout eventually though. Etherington only 3 points in 13 minutes in a blowout win Vs. Indiana State. He is what we thought he was.
  11. 24 from Fr. Buss. Big Time!
  12. terrible start. I think he just hired a dad and his 3 superstar kids are coming through the pipes, starting next year. He'll get at least next year as he is guaranteed 3 5 stars in the next couple classes. Forget their names?? Layson, Lawson??   Edit:Lawson and yes Pastner hired the Lawson father.  The one son was #14 in ESPN super 60 for '16 but of course he reclassed to '15 because that is what all kids due nowadays.  smh.
  13. dang it, I got suckered into it again on the TBryant thread.    sorry folks
  14. Unless you think, hey it's IU, and likely the next Coach will be top notch/better than the current.
  15. This happened today. @billtrocchi: A 14-year old committed to Ohio State hoops today. @ebosshoops has the inside story. #Buckeyes @Rivals https://t.co/FfGmONHdrx
  16. yeah, road wins in CBB are hard to come by and we snagged 2 tonight. No excuse to lose this challenge after this start. We need to hold up our end of the bargain for starters. Purdue, Michigan, Wisonsin, with tough home challenges. Excited about the next 2 days of ball.
  17. This Florida State crowd is a total joke. #Embarrassing. #friends-and-family. Lol.
  18. I've been part of it, but let's try to move the non-Thomas Bryant conversation into "the state of IUBB" thread or one similar. I fully understand how derailing happens but a recruiting thread isn't the best place. And yes, I know I've been part of the problem at times, I am now trying to be part of the solution at least when it comes to recruit threads. Thanks in advance.
  19. Some of them, yes. The ones most analysts raved about.
  20. this is my take as well. Lyles would have been exactly what we need. Goodluck would have helped as a rim protector. Robinson wouldn't have helped much this season but he'll be good. Clark would have been in Holt's role but an upgrade. Tum Tum is solid, but we don't need him. Bluiett would have helped a lot. Anthony Lee would have helped too. Too many other misses to fully evaluate but based on what we are getting from Priller, April, Z, Holt, and Hoetzel we could be a much better team if Crean had won his guys. Holt and Hoetzel have long term promise. Z is a decent addition. I love his enthusiasm. IDK, it all goes back to missing on bigs and then taking Priller and April. Kansas goes out last minute and gets a foreign big who now starts for them. Purdue's Isaac Haas. Onuaku for Louisville. Transfers up the wazoo. Other teams addressed needs late. Crean whiffed over and over and now we are deficient.
  21. Tuesday night is loaded Minnesota vs Wake Forest 7 -----Minnesota Pitt vs Indiana 7--------------------IU Syracuse vs Michigan 7:30-------Michigan Illinois vs Miami 9-----------------Miami??? NC St vs Purdue 9----------------NC ST??? Ohio st vs Louisville 9:30---------Louisville I could see most of those games going either way, except I see Louisville as the most clear favorite IMO.
  22. I knew they were good going into THAT game. We should have won that game a million ways. Crean had a terrible 2nd half. But yes, they will continue to be good all year.
  23. Weak CBB night tomorrow. Best games: Nebraska at Florida St. Rutgers at Clemson As part of BIG/ACC challenge. I guess we start 1-1.
