It’s full of some wild opinions. Maybe I was a little hard on the Facebook groups, some of the discussions are fine but many posters are either way behind the information curve or just plain troll happy. I guess I just think it would be better if some of their posters would spend less time on posting and more time on worthwhile things like spelling, and figuring out how to disengage the all-caps function. Do any of you guys peruse the Indiana Facebook fan pages? I ask only because the recent discussions here have centered around the “backlash” argument, which is taken as gospel on Facebook. The latest theory on this particular Facebook page says that the reason Langford has declined to commit, is not only fear of backlash but, that he would almost certainly not win the Indiana Mr. Basketball award, if he had committed elsewhere. This theory was not only well received, it was gaining ground! I normally would not be caught dead posting on this (Facebook) page as I find it to be the largest group of idiots ever assembled in one place. In this situation however, I could not help myself. I posted the information exactly as stated in the above post and found myself outnumbered by even dumber responses. I even went a step further in regard to Gary Harris, stating that he not only won the award after committing to MSU in November, but beat out Indiana commit, Yogi freakin Ferrell for the award. Admittedly, this stumped many. Fact is it was just me arguing against, well me and one other dude. The point I’m trying to get to here is that the theories on our sight may be tedious but, I assure you it can get Way, Way, Wayyyyyyyy worse. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

So why not commit after State then? And flak at school? To that I’d say, he is 6’6 200 LBS and athletic. Also appears to be beloved as a God on Earth at NA. I doubt he’s taking any flak at school after committing anywhere. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

I too hope this announcement date puts to bed the idea that he was reluctant to commit from fear of getting boo’s while playing. The venues in the post-season games are in Oregon, New York, and Atlanta. Say the kid decides on Vandy tonight. Are any of you going to follow the dude to Oregon to boo him? I can only speak for myself here, but it’s a no from me. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

I keep going back to his Father’s comment about giving IU one last chance to make their pitch. My take from that is IU is not currently leading, but has made the top 2 and anything can happen. I think it’s still IU and Vandy, I don’t see the KU smoke. And I don’t believe that he has somehow strung IU along in order to focus on a scoring title. We were late to the party, but if we do get that last visit, I feel he chooses us. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Didn’t know another place to drop this. This guy has an interesting hot take on the University of Wisconsin basketball program. For the record, I agree with almost everything he says. Something must be done about the flopping and holding. Follow the YouTube link. Good stuff begins at about 1:10. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

East is killing it from deep. 29 pts. 6:24 left in the third. Has 9 3’s if I’m not mistaken. That kid on our radar? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
No. Absolutely let’s not. 100% not my intention here. The question I posed was specific to these players and tonight’s first half meltdown. I felt it was answered very well. While my opinion was that bringing Juwan back in, might have helped to stem the tide, he may also have picked up a 3rd which ends the game before halftime. Archie sticking to his script and not bringing him back was the correct decision 100%. I assure you guys I was simply looking to see if any of you would have taken the gamble. Yeah definitely, like I said with a better roster that’s 100% the move to make. I just wonder if that robotic “this is what to do in that situation” mentality doesn’t sometimes cost a team without the backfill. Because that’s us. That’s this team. Would you guys adjust? Does anyone else not like the “2 fouls and sit no matter what” approach Archie takes in the first half of games? I’m not trying to pick the coach apart here. He has my full support but, wouldn’t having Juwan for a few more minutes in the 1st tonight have been able to keep Rutgers from blowing us up like that? He finished the game with 2 fouls if I’m not mistaken. Hindsight is 20/20 of course but I think he makes that mistake more than he helps save the third foul. If we had a better roster I’d say heck yeah, take him out till the 2nd but, with the deficiencies of this roster, don’t you need to either let it ride, or bring him back in when it gets out of hand? Anyway, it’s over now. Oh well. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

So many low’s over the last few years. My fandom for IU, and really the game in general, has hit rock bottom. Some guy said we have missed the NCAA tournament 8 of the past 15 years. Honestly, it’s perfectly conceivable that we don’t make it next year either. That’s a problem for me. I love the tournament. Lived for it. Here’s the thing though, I don’t give a s*** about anybody but IU. I don’t care about watching how other B1G teams fare, and I damn sure don’t care about picking teams in the office bracket challenge anymore. If we don’t make it, I don’t watch. From guys getting in trouble with alcohol and running over people with cars, to the serious roster flaws of this year, you have wounded me IU. It’s easy to lump everything on the former coach. Don’t. It goes so much deeper. I’m tired. This program is more tired. Wake up. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

It’s what they have done all season. Rutgers dribbles the clock out then forces a desperation, panic shot. So far, they have been lucky. I would keep watching if I were you. Their recent history says that this will not continue. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Excellent play by Sanders there. Lot of time left. It’s 5 points guys, not 20. Stop with the “it’s over” stuff. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
