On the TJD re-class subject, I’d like to submit my two cents. Although it would be immediately satisfying to see them both play this upcoming season, I think it might be better to have TJD in 2019. My reasoning is, I believe them both to be high potential OAD candidates. If so, it stretches that star power out, gives TJ another year of development, and best of all, gives Romeo incentive to stay 2 seasons. I do understand that a class like what we think could potentially happen here in 2018 is rare, and maybe we should take the shot at a title while it’s there but, I see upside either way. I’ve often wondered if the true change that comes out of these federal investigations, is the end of the NCAA as an organization which polices it’s self. As an organization responsible for policing those schools operating outside of compliance, it’s not difficult for even the casual observer, to see that they are either inept or completely blind. This FBI thing has to be an indictment of the NCAA as much as it is the schools and players involved. At least in the eye of the public. Decades....Decades this has been allowed to continue, business as usual, under the eyes of the NCAA. If they knew, and looked the other way, they did so knowing a federal crime was being committed. Agree here. It’s important to remember that the speculation about Langford pushing his commitment back until after his post season games, had something to do with him waiting to see what would happen at Kansas, was just that....Speculation. It was a theory created on a fan message board by a fan...Probably this board in fact. I would caution against getting over excited by this theory. It’s compelling yes, for that matter so was the “backlash” theory. There is no concrete evidence to support the argument. That said, do I wish there was equal evidence to refute the theory? Yes. Ya know, the “waiting on Louisville” rumor is intriguing to me. While I believe there is absolutely no truth to the rumor, it did get me thinking about other possible reasons for delaying his commitment even further. Does anyone know if there is anything slated to happen between now and mid-April that he could possibly be ‘waiting’ on? Any announcement/news from teams or players?
