Sorry for the delay. I will preface this by saying I love watching Tyra play and I was 100% rooting for Mt. Carmel to win each game.
Anyways, at the Toyota classic, Friday night they played my alma mater, Gibson Southern. During the game, my brother in law, who's a teacher, pointed out who Tyra's dad was as he was sitting underneath the goal during the game. He was very loud and animated during that game, despite Mt. Carmel taking Gibson Southern to the woodshed.
The next night, Mt. Carmel played Princeton who has Jackie Young and is very good. The game was very competitive, and although the ending was very questionable in terms of the calls that were made, I happened to agree with the foul and subsequent technical being called. At any rate, the entire 4th quarter, Gibson Southern's principal literally stood by Tyra's dad the entire time in an effort to keep him calm, as he was screaming at the refs for most of the 2nd half on almost every call. After the crazy ending that I alluded to happened, Mr. Buss starts storming the court towards Princeton's coach and gets picked off by two police officers. He wasn't arrested, but that's pretty bad when a superintendent of a school corporation is escorted out by police officers. I have no idea what was done to make him that upset, but you're supposed to be a leader when you hold that job; nothing should make you storm the court towards the opposing coach. A few minutes later, Tyra's mom Kelly, went over and talked to the principal and she was going crazy on him too, although she didn't have to be escorted out.
My brother in law said he's heard that her parents are known for getting into situations like that, as it wasn't the first time it's happened. To me it's just sad to have a daughter that is that awesome at basketball, yet you're acting like such a jackass, that people will talk about you after the game instead of your daughter that just dropped 66 against one of the best 3A teams in Indiana.
