I head the FBI deputized MSB to make the arrest.
-
So if it is Pitino and not Kenny that has to ease the minds of a lot of IU brass/fans.
-
I never said anyone said that. People were saying to take it easy on him and things of that nature because he ran a clean program which I replied to. Dont make things up just to discredit what I said.
-
It’s like they ignore the fact that Cal is a notorious cheater who has been caught multiple times.
-
On another note I don’t feel sorry for the programs, coaches, players, or families involved in this but I feel horrible for the student athletes on these teams that have done it the right way. The kids who didn’t take money and busted their butts practicing and in the classroom are going to take the fall for the bad apples around them. I hope the NCAA will allow them to transfer and not sit out a season. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Pretty spot on. The posts about taking it easy on him because he was clean is my issue because no one has ever said a bad thing about how he ran his program in regards to the rules. To want to take it easy on him because of that doesn’t make any sense when the reason he got fired and most dislike him has nothing to do with that. I don’t like Crean as a coach or as a person(based on a personal experience which we have hashed out a million times so I’m not going down that road again). But I do absolutely and unquestionable respect him running a clean program, but that doesn’t pardon the other things. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

I dont think the words Miami and Investigated will ever surprise me. lol

Recruiting and Coaching. You'll probably throw out names like Cody and Vic but there are just as many guys that should've been D2 or D3 that ended up at IU. Coaching wise he was god awful I'm not even sure if anyone can even attempt to argue that. There are 3 major parts of coaching. Recruiting, Coaching, and doing it the right way. 1/3 isnt good especially when youre being paid as much as Crean was. If I only did a fraction of my job I would be fired not given a pat on the back like some of you all are wanting to do. Edit: I'm truly dumbfounded by this participation trophy mentality that most have on here.

Agree to disagree. Doing a small fraction of your job when you're paid millions to do it isn't impressive to me at all.

New IU pick this morning from a Duke guy 2018 Stats Accuracy: (100.00 %) 10 out of 10 Avg days correct: 46.57 -
So give him credit for not breaking rules? I’m sorry but that makes no sense. You don’t give people pats on the back for covering the absolute bare minimums of the job.

Checked out a Kansas site and there more talk of some other kid than there is of Romeo. Although there was one post that said it’s been between them and UofL the whole time. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Ehh it’s a Kansas guy making his first Romeo prediction. He probably just saw Doyle’s tweet and Meyers pick and got excited like a 12 yr finding his dads playboy magazine. -
Guys let’s talk about what’s really important. We’ve finally had another Dukie sighting. Hope all is well Dukie. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

It’s not the popular opinion but I’m ok with the potential oversign since all the guys Archie would be getting are better than at least one of our guys and our current roster aren’t Archie’s guys. It still sucks but I won’t be upset by it. -

Care to explain why? Just curious. Personally I felt like we were getting Romeo before all this stuff came out and now it’s all but certain. I’ve been wrong before though. -

2 new IU picks tonight. 1 from another UK guy and the other is a Duke guy Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -
Forget the decision, it’ll still take them 3 years to send them a notification of allegations even though the FBI will have already done it for them.
-
Not really. In the coaching world almost everyone is connected. There are enough people in trouble that you can connect them to at least one person in almost every school. Sean may be his brother but they’re still two different people, KJ can just as easily be thrown back as IU got rid of him because he didn’t want to follow the rules, and Ed would just be fired and what he done at UCLA wouldn’t have any effect on us. If players are going to be cautious about us for those reasons then most schools will never get a recruit again.
