OF you haven’t seen him play if you feel that way. He can defend 3-5. He can play 3-5. That means at his 6’11” size he has proven he can play against top talent both inside and out. I am not distraught we didn’t get him, but to minimize the kid is wrong. He very much would have helped and played 25+ out the gate. He is a really good player that would have been protected to not be exposed as a skinny 5. He can very well play the 3 and 4. Comparing Luke Brown and Dawson Garcia is just a horrible comparison. There isn’t one, even artificially. There is a very distinct reason Archie Miller is not going after Luke Brown. It’s not he is stringing him along. He is not writing, texting, calling, watching, or even glancing at box scores to see how he is doing. Luke Brown is not a fit for what Indiana University is doing at both ends of the floor. Dawson Garcia is exactly what CAM is looking for. It’s a miss. No more or less. He has far more hits than misses, but let’s not minimize someone that would have helped us. To be fair, ten years ago it was most certainly worth having a subscription. When we came over (the mods asked by Jason) it was on the premise he wasn’t going with that model as it’s archaic. Information is readily available with social media that Rabjohns is getting. He is essentially doing what CCG did for years. He may have an interview with a kid, which we no longer do, but that information is out there quick. Rabjohns does not hold a golden ticket of information. That said this is how he makes his living. I will never hate on a man for making a living, but I don’t think it’s also right to act like he has this crazy insight others don’t have. I completely agree with you. The one thing I would add is he has no clue what it was like pre one and done. That rule changed when he was 13. He just throws random things out as fact hoping things will stick. He has no clue the differences in game how big or small. I don’t see Joe at 12 years old watching the amount of basketball and understanding it as most here. This is just another fact based opinion he is looking for a reaction. Like people in the Jordan vs Lebron discussion. People romanticize what they grew up with. The teams now are not very different than what they were ten years ago. The rules are mainly the same.
