If it is DeVries you are clearly discounting RonMexico’s contributions to this board haha. Jk but not really . -

No to Brownell and Buzzkill. I could live with DeVries but please tell us someone bigger/more competent is in the works. -

I concur. I think DeVries is a good coach and would handle the rigors of the job a lot better than Archie. He is definitely more charismatic, but even my 90-year old Aunt with dementia has more personality than Archie. BM is potentially special and has a higher ceiling imo. -

The big fish hire should be announced on Thursday during the Purdue game -

For all we know DeVries could be leveraging IU and Iowa at WVU's expense and maybe BM is perfectly happy at Drake. Otherwise, your points are on point. -

I think it's DeVries for 3 reasons: 1) I'm not entirely sure McCollum wants the IU job and could be perfectly content staying at Drake. His end game could be the Iowa job knowing Iowa very likely cannot afford DeVries nor meet certain financial demands. Who knows - maybe it's the IU job he covets. 2) Personality. Simply put, I think DeVries is a better fit when you consider everything the job entails. I do however believe BM is the better coach. 3) The info leaked a few days ago that suggested BM was a serious candidate for the IU job and Scott was highly impressed or something to that effect. I initially thought that was agent driven but now I'm not so sure... I now believe that a certain AD was sending a clear signal to the DeVries camp to sh*t or get off the pot, talk to your Iowa buddies and make a decision or "we'll go all in on BM." I also think you could do a role reversal here and use the two names interchangeably on most of what I just said lol -

Rabs is just now reaching the soft chatter phase. BUT Jiminy Christmas people. Has anybody paid any attention to any of my posts for crying out loud? I've said McCollum vs DeVries for a week now LOL -

haha I have not but I would routinely go to Elkins just south of there on business. It was depressing. -

Only Iowa can answer that. Not any different than IU going after May. I think it's pertinent to the IU search which is why I pose the question. -

Pretty obvious DeVries wants out of Morgantown. Where does he land?!? We should follow this closely imo big wink, big wink :) -

From Rabby’s perspective, would that be hard or soft chatter or a mere whisper? -

I have zero concerns about McCollum. All he does is win just like Cig. It’s just a matter of which job he most covets. -

Although I don’t disagree, this is all about WV demonstrating its commitment to the basketball program. DeVries will be gone by Thursday at the latest. -

The pessimism is understandable but Brownell’s buyout is a moot point. It will be DeVries or McCollum. Iowa’s first move on the public front will be telling… Woody will get his 8 mil over the next 8 years. -

Interesting. The flight origin could be a coincidence, but when you factor in the close proximity in time.... -

I’m sticking with DeVries and McCollum. I’ve had reason to believe for 2 weeks they are the top targets. I’d love to be proven wrong by a big fish hire. -

Any hire outside of Brownell would appear to be a homerun. This is brilliant!
