  1. Yes, in week 5, before we played anyone, we were a fringe Top 25 team. Objectively looking at the talent on IU’s roster, the years of eligibility remaining, the size, the playmaking ability, and the overall roster construction, it’s hard not to conclude that the program is clearly moving in the right direction. C'mon now...
  2. Drake beat Wichita State in 2021. He's 1-3 overall.
  3. It's interesting that DeVries downplayed Ryan Carr's contribution to this Portal Class in yesterday's interview.
  4. We’ll be competitive this year and likely in the fringe Top 25 conversation. Considering where the program has been, we’re clearly moving in the right direction. With our entire roster having at least two years of eligibility remaining, the plan is to retain the core of this group, invest in keeping our top talent, and address weaknesses through next year’s transfer portal. That should position us to take another step forward and potentially become a Top 15 team in 2027-2028. This is a progression, and the foundation is being built the right way.
  5. Just to calm some of the worriers...
  6. Would love to know how much Drake and Harris received in NIL last season for not playing a second.
  7. True, which is why I am still overjoyed that all but Sisley left.

  9. I felt a bit masochistic today and decided to listen to Dakich. I was actually encouraged to hear that he spoke with Ryan Carr at a Pacers game, and that Carr reportedly “really likes” the freshmen coming in. So, kudos to DD and staff for not screwing the pooch, it has Carr's seal of approval.
  10. Next year, if a lot of our players hit the portal, it’s worth keeping this in mind: the average team this season returned players who accounted for just 31% of the minutes played. In other words, nearly 70% of played minutes had to be replaced due to graduation or transfers.
  11. I am disappointed to see that Evan Miya's preseason projection of our roster is in the 30-34 range (8-9 seed). Last year's team, in the preseason, was ranked 42nd. Thanks for the cold water, Evan...
  12. I wonder how many of IUs portalers will make less at their next destination. Dorn especially.
  13. Next season, having THREE starters (Burton, Lindsay, Mustaf) who can both knock down threes AND create off the dribble paired with two rim protectors who excel at crashing the offensive glass is HUGE. Talk about turning last year's weaknesses into next year's strengths...
  14. Like Burton, Lindsay has a very quick first step. That said, it appears he struggled to make shots inside the 3-point line last year. The guys at @sleepers said he shot 39% on "off the dribble" 3s which is extremely impressive.
  15. I would love to see us get a couple more wings, a really good shooter and a really good defender. If they're seniors, that's fine, our freshmen will be able to take over their roles as sophomores.
  16. Can Aiden Sherrell guard most 4s?
