He has been set on assassinating his own character, IMO. He could have just said "Hey, I tried my best, but I just can't seem to get it done. I love coming into the office and being "the guy" who has all of the "inside info" because here visits the message boards...Guy came by my office to ask if we are going to get blown out on Saturday and was shocked when I said "well, at least woody is on his way out now"....He had no idea....and the someone else overheard and had to come over and drop in on the conversation....they were elated that Woody is gone lol
