Z cant get cheap fouls, can makalisky not get completely torched on defense and just stand at the 3 point line on offense for a couple open looks she’s a potted plant

Syd just called the last game. I’m sure we will get some clowns. Gennisis Bryant is at the table she does a good job. This will be a beat down by Iowa. Gone are the days we could take them out.

So yeah why not play some that don’t get the action and see if something happens. Clearly being an Indiana miss basketball means nothing yet we add them to the rosters, Makalusky, Spreen, and wiseman all contribute 0 but makalusky gets all the minutes. Michigan state had a girl from north Vernon Indiana who’d be 2nd behind Shay, Britt prince who was a big whiff on our recruiting is killing it in this Nebraska Iowa game.

I don’t understand the reasoning of not letting some bench players have a shot. Makalusky is useless and now plays almost the entire game. They lose by 20 every time they play a real team.

Lot of excuses. Beaumont is a decent role player. Would have helped last years team. Who will think about scoring once Shay is gone? Even with Z in the lineup, Z wasn’t scoring very much against cupcakes. Caffey will be a solid player year 3 or so. Maya contributes nothing. A shot put two handed push shot that mid majors don’t guard and has made a couple. 37 minutes 0 points last game against a big ten opponent. Slow gangly and weak. Why doesn’t Jerni get a shot in a game against a real opponent? Or even spreen? If wiseman, maya, and apparently spreen who never gets a shot aren’t good enough to see the floor or score what’s the point in recruiting Indiana to begin with

Where is the strong road win you speak of?

It is disappointing to go from a 1 seed 3 years ago to the basement of the Big Ten and a full assembly hall to empty in that amount of time. After the dumpster fire that this season will be, along with probably next season as well there isn’t going to be much to sell to potential recruits. Unless there’s some real fire power acquired in the portal this offseason I’m not sure that it will ever really recover with how deep women’s basketball is becoming and how talent deficient this Iu team has become. And next year there isn’t going to be a Shay that can least competently score.

6 wins are going to be really hard to find

Not much interest here in the game. Good and bad. This season will not be a good one, once they start playing real teams. I was happy moren finally played some of the players that just sit the bench extended minutes. Jerni has had solid moments. Jade actually looked the part and I’m a bit confused why she doesn’t play more. Phoenix made some plays and buckets. Beaumont terrible first half got hot 2nd half. Shay is unreal I guarantee she is pissed she didn’t transfer. She’s one of the best players in the country. Maya contributed nothing, slow gangly and ill looking shot form, not much of an athlete. Wasn’t afraid to keep bricking threes. She is From an area of the rich, and that Rich high school plays a bunch of nobodies but pads stats.

Size is one thing you can’t teach, for sure

I agree and it isn’t even close. Sharneece is having a good season at a smaller school, and had good years prior to IU. I know during her first year here she had a baby, but would imagine she’d be a solid contributor this season.

Not very good at this level. And gee whiz the men and women both have really gone bottom of the barrel with some of the scheduling of these non conference games

To me Shay looks like about the only one that is a basketball player. Big ten season will be painful. Maybe Z can come back and help. Was hoping neveah would be solid but I think Jerni is better. Maya takes passes off the face and makes an occasional wide open 3 in a painful looking shot. Phoenix hasn’t made a shot all year it don’t seem like.

Agree with that you can’t teach size and athletics.

Jerni needs to start and get more minutes.

She literally looks to be the only one who knows how to play basketball or have talent on this team. How we were just a few short years of being #1 in the country and in the conversation to this is embarrassing. Jobs should be lost at this failure
