  1. I had season tickets last year for the first time, and chose not to renew them. I live fairly far away so the midweek games are a stretch. Last year my tickets were 40 rows up. Many seats below were empty. Half the time I went I bought low seats for 10-15$ rather than sit in the rafters. I’ll go to games this year and just buy great seats for low prices
  2. My takeaways are this. Zs athletic ability and skill are impressive. and that size. Hopefully she can stay out of foul trouble, will only get better every game. Beaumont has a lot of Berger in her with more range, will be really good. phoenix isn’t afraid to come off the bench and fire it up. Had some nice plays, will bring energy and scoring ability off the bench. shay is trying to do too much. kadlecova is as skilled and smooth as anyone we have and better than maya by a substantial margin caffey is the real deal.
  3. The points system kills the incentive to buy season tickets in my opinion. I bought them last year for the first time and was stuck 40 rows up while many were empty below. Half the time I went I bought cheap tickets in the first 10 or 15 rows on vivid. this team is so much faster than the last couple years. Garzon moved like a potted plant
  4. I had a feeling valyntena was going to be a dark horse for real minutes. While she didn’t get many minutes last year, I Went to a lot of games last year and often early enough to watch warmups and looked the part physically with a very good looking shot.
  5. Why someone needs to subscribe and pay this and get that and blah blah for any information does tend to get to be annoying, you already have to have cable and subscribe to 4 different things to watch the games
  6. I don’t feel like the university does themselves many favors with the women’s program with just a general lack of a media presence, social media, and the couple writers that occasionally do things are pretty uninformed most the of the time and cringy. And some of it could be on the coach, not sure how it all works. Feel like on a campus of over 40,000 in a basketball state some of that would be pretty easy to get a couple of kids to do some of that.
  7. Caffey will start or get big minutes. She is really good. Obviously Shay. Don’t really have an option besides z getting big minutes. Beaumont will start and play plenty, as of 2 years ago she played 10 a game as a freshman. Phoenix is going to start. On size and position don’t know how Noyan doesn’t start. Spreen and makuklsky will get time but it will be a big adjustment. Unfortunately being an Indiana miss basketball doesn’t really translate to a whole lot in the college game, generally role players. Perhaps the duqenese transfer makes a push. She’s not gonna play more than 7 or 8 meaningful time, and almost none of the women’s teams do , so it’s a crapshoot after the first 6 or so. Maybe faith can make a push, I’d say she is going to have to for the year to be successful we will see
  8. Caffey and mackculsky are players that a lot of teams wanted. Big z was a coveted player on a stacked veteran team and is built like a Shaq for women’s playing behind all Americans on a 1 seed. Beaumont was going to get serious minutes. Shay was as good as we had and will be a lot better here in year two. Striplin was admirable but left Tennessee because she wasn’t going to get to a be a contributor. Garzon left and not to ruffle feathers but had to be slowest player in the country. Phoenix and Noyan I think they can play. Phoenix adds speed and Noyan adds size and strength with skill. We’ve gotten bigger, faster, stronger. Need another add and will be just fine. Don’t know that we get much from spreen but would like to be surprised
  9. I believe Gulbe could have actually played another year but went home, and that would have been huge as we hugged a top 5 all year and got upset in a very poorly officiated and played game against #8 Miami. I really believe this years version will be better than last year even if it’s unfamiliar and less experienced. Getting drummed in non conference gimmes to start the season to giving usc, ucla, South Carolina all the wanted was impressive. Don’t think a clean slate of more athletic players is going to be bad
  10. I think moren is going to do better with a new cast. I think at times her loyalty to players hurt. I don’t think Lilly should have ever started over striplin. I think it would be good to get bargesser back, if not just for some familiarity, but such a liability offensively. At times teams don’t even send a defender. Chloe had some great days and as many “what are you doing” days on the offensive end. Parrish this season i assume just battled injuries and they took their toll, not near as effective as the last few years. Benched Garzon in the Illinois game because was just getting absolutely torched on defense and couldn’t hit anything. And had several games in row being invisible. It’s going to be interesting. Henna actually got a decent amount of minutes which I thought was questionable, but did have some plays. Julianna was not very good and probably performed better as a freshman.
  11. I optimistically think they will be better. Already have substantially more size, strength, and athleticism. Now if they all can play together and form a unit.
  12. Would be good to get back Bargessar. I thought she gave us great minutes the last few years, and while not really a threat her defense was really good, and more so the year before did make some big plays. She is fast and can get up the floor
  13. Going after overseas talent in the portal is probably a work around for not having enough funds since they do not receive near as much due to the visa restriction and the fact that it’s more complicated.
  14. I’m assuming Moore McNeil, Garzon, Striplin, and Lemondola all had some sort of NIL money. And I’d guess Parrish had a pretty decent deal. With all of them, where did the money that was allocated to them go?
  15. I think it would be just for playing time, a chance to be the star, and still being a in big conference which we all know how atrociously bad Purdue was last season, after underperforming the year before with several good players and mass transfer exodus
  16. Valyntyna didn’t to get play but got spot minutes in blowouts and was the only one on the court who could score. She showed up 4 days before the season started and didn’t didn’t get to play. But has the build and a heck of a shot. She might be the best dark horse they have. Sometimes the best gets are the ones you already have. Coming from a foreign country, no time to accumulate to a new language and a new world, without any time to go do it. Think she can be really good and wondered why all season lemondola, bargesseer, got minutes above her. Went to games and seen warmups she was automatic and is a basketball player
  17. Confused at why coach would actually turn down recruiting money?
  18. I think the first round all go to mid majors to get minutes and points. Maybe bottom level major conference programs and play most of the 40 minutes. Yarden might get to go to some place cool with her Role here as a freshman. Even yarden will not be a star at a program beyond Indiana. Too slow, too limited
  19. It’s all just so stupid. Men’s probably spent as much as anyone in the country last year and couldn’t manage making the tournament. The women’s team spent nothing of it im sure. They gave South Carolina all they wanted, which why does South Carolina have an unlimited budget to get players, we will never know. The football team became good and you know they didn’t spend Alabama or Georgia money.
  20. It’s a damn shame. But if they want to bolt however they see fit, I’ll criticize. I didn’t need to buy season tickets only knowing I could attend half of the games, nor did I need to go to many second hand last few years at twice the price. Yarden was a day one starter, did a lot of cool stuff for us. Also turned it over a crap ton, disappeared a lot, she’s still not even a Scalia skill level, who was a portal pick up. I’d say she’s not a Parrish talent, but she was kind of a shelf this year of herself. Injuries, something. Iu has no reporting and moren wont say anything. If you want to get yarden an open 3 it has a good chance to go in. If the defense decides to guard her it might be a turn over or air ball 3. Truly yardens best year was her freshman year when Mack and the gang gave her the open looks
  21. Gotta click on the bottom one to see it I think
  22. lol oh stop it. If you watch her shooting form and think that’s something that’s good, then to quote Bobby, you just don’t know basketball. It goes in. But if that’s a pure looking shot I must be Ray Charles.
  23. And I agree with you they probably can. And compared to most of the “powerhouses” Indiana should truly be able to “afford” them all whatever it might be. Reports say they took 5 million and burned it in a bonfire for the men’s to be below .500 in the big ten and not make the tournament. Very little transparency in NIL, one of the many things that needs to be changed. Can get more transparency from the Fab 5, Tarkanians running rebels, and the 87 mustangs.
  24. And it’s sad isn’t it? Top 5, 10 in the country in attendance, have basically nobody on the roster demanding “big checks” and can’t “afford” a 7.5 ppg game player. The things that make you shake your head.
