If his main gripe with ISU is NIL he can now say “Hey donors, my contract no longer makes me untouchable, better pony up”.. that wouldn’t necessarily make sense why ISU would give it to him, but neither does anything else really. Unless that’s the only way he’d sign.

Painter said today on Dakich Smith accepted the Purdue offer within 48 hours and not because it was Purdue but because they were the only HM. He said it could have been anyone because he was just waiting on a HM offer.

I still think announcing a planned retirement at the end of the year is the cleanest way out of this.

I guess it just depends on how weighted fan sentiment is at this stage for the administration. That’s the biggest positive. Every weighs these things differently.

That is literally ScottDolsonsBurner .. If players are getting crushed by fan pressure, they aren't cut out for high major basketball. It also means they have zero faith in what they're doing as a team, and are stuck with hoping things get better. If you truly believe in your process, the noise doesn't bother you.

How’s the narrative holding up today? Still just a bunch of fans mad at Woodson because someone told us to be? Or can we admit it doesn’t take a savant to understand that 22 losses by 14 or more in 3.5 years is unacceptable?
