  1. Since you seem to possibly know these stakeholders, can you please share a message: It is now 2024, not 1984. The things Bruce Pearl has been in trouble for aren’t even illegal anymore. I would very much enjoy them making the best on court decision for this program, and to quit holding this storied program back. I’ve played for coaches that are in the Indiana HoF, and none of them are perfect, but they are all beloved. Sound familiar?
  2. I was replying to people not wanting to cross QB. Meant he’s done after next year, who cares if you cross him?
  3. Linear = Boring. Embrace the rollercoaster. Gotta roll with the punches!
  4. He’s gone next year. Let it be weird for a year. Who cares.
  5. Idk what I’ll do if OSU gets Dusty and we run it back with Woodson again. That may be my low point as an IU fan.
  6. Too late. I’ve taken it to the bank.
  7. No way. We were a protected seed last year and all they could get him was a raise. If they didn’t extend him last year, they definitely won’t this year.
  8. Saw someone say it on discord and it’s a good point: The reason our record down the stretch really doesn’t matter is because Woodsons job can’t be in doubt going into next year. So that means he either has to win the BTT to make it justifiable, or IU has to give him an extension. The latter isn’t happening. Otherwise we are punting on HS recruiting.
  9. Not many noticed it. It appeared it got lost in the Purdue girls conversation. Haha
  10. @jbeaman9 had a pretty interesting post last night.
  11. I just got my kids to bed.. Best part of the day is shutting the door goodnight. ❤️
  12. Yep. Totally agree. If we are to believe this is Pearls dream job, Dolsons work is simple: Eliminate the obstacles.
  13. Yeah, sometimes big raises are PR as much as anything. “I mean look at this raise they gave me, I had no choice but to jump! I’m not a bad guy!”
  14. That number will start a conversation with almost any coach in the country.
  15. I don’t know if that’s enough to get Pearl to jump, but that number would tell me that this university is taking this program seriously for the first time in decades. I always hear that money is no issue, and that number would be IU acting like it for once.
  16. Also, don’t know of many players who are more confident in one dribble pull up long twos than they are catch and shoot threes, but IU has a monopoly on them.
  17. I guess we can agree to disagree, but I don’t think guys pass up good threes to put it on the floor and settle unless they’ve been coached to. And that doesn’t mean Mike Woodson is yelling not to shoot, but I do believe it’s made very clear what shots he prefers. I’m not there, so I’m not going to say I know what is happening, but a 3 year span is a pretty good sample size.
  18. Would agree. But I think the most obvious sign that we are poorly coached, not just poorly constructed, is when we play situational basketball (think Malik’s 5th foul last night), our guys are completely lost. These things should be practiced over and over, and no drew up in a timeout. Last night when we were fouling to close the gap on our fouls to give in case we needed to foul, everyone should’ve know exactly what to do and exactly how to execute it.
  19. That isn’t true for 3 year spans. If guys truly have a green light, our 3p volume would be much higher. Guys at most levels, especially this level, have to be told not to shoot it. There is no way for 3 years in a row we just keep bringing in kids that don’t have enough confidence to volume shoot. They are very obviously coached to be selective.
  20. I played NAIA so if anyone wants to get a take off, send it to me and I’ll post it. Haha
  21. X has also lost us games in the past. Even if he would have won us some, it’s just as fair to say he would’ve lost us some too.
  22. Hot take: we may be better off in the long run without Malik. He really only works playing beside another big because he can’t rim protect or rebound at an efficient rate, but he is truly only effective offensively on the low block. He doesn’t fit in a true 4 or 5 out offense.
  23. I don’t think we should lose sight of the fact that our first round pick had a career night and we beat a mid Wiscy team by 4 at home. It was a nice win, but it’s not like there was some magical corner we turned.
