Jeremy Grey is in charge of NIL for Indiana. It's probably going to be easier for colleges in states with no NIL law in place. -
That's his 3rd high school. He was in Texas before heading to La Lumiere. Have no idea if this will affect IU's involvement, but in a earlier interview Coach Ya said they looked at how many times a kid jumped from different AAU teams. I'm guessing it's a red flag for some colleges that he's on his 3rd high school. Will be interesting situation to follow although 247 has him as a cyrstal ball going to Baylor.

There's great momentum with IU hoops now and to continue that into the 2023 class we can't just miss on everyone we are recruiting and use the portal as our fall back. I agree with you that Woodson and Indiana will be beneficiaries of the portal system, but "failing to find what we want" means we missed on every 2022 recruit we went after. That would not be a good look for this coaching staff. Land at least one very good recruit then make the tourney next season and IU will be be rolling going forward.

Love that Stuhoo. I think we are going to miss on Taylor and Flip. 247 has Vincent as a lock to Baylor as he's from San Antonio. We can certainly roll with Clowney, Banks......and Hood-Schifino who comes on his official visit in a few days. And I agree on Banks. Kid shoots almost 40-percent from the 3-point line and had perhaps the most glowing post IU visit interview I've even seen.

That is interesting as Carolina did indeed offer another small forward yesterday. A less positive view is that Taylor annouced his commitment day immediately after that other UNC offer so he might be giving a verbal to the Heels before the other small forward takes the spot. Who knows. Either way Go Hoosiers.

Crazy article about Wisconsin basketball today from the Wisconsin State Journal. Players secretly recorded a meeting with Coach Greg Gard and released the recording. Lots of disfunction in BuckyLand. https://madison.com/wsj/sports/college/basketball/men/wisconsin-men-s-basketball-seniors-confronted-greg-gard-in-secretly-recorded-meeting-here-s-what/article_bf1afb44-c2fe-5983-86fb-4c107e776e15.html#tracking-source=home-top-story -
Buzz from Purdue circles is that they are now counting the months before another "We Own This State" social media post after Colvin commits. IU's offer was a shock. And recruiting is a tough business. The weather matters on official visits. The player host matters on official visits. It all matters. I guarantee it matters to Hooks and Booker.

The last two college shooting guards to come from IMG averaged around 10 points a game as freshman. Before that Eric Ayala came from IMG and averaged around 8 pts a game for Maryland as a freshman. I've seen a scouting report that compares Bates to former Illinois guard Adam Miller (who transferred to LSU) and Miller averaged around 8 points per game as a freshman. So it's reasonable to assume that Bates, who ranks above a couple of the players mentioned, should be as productive as some of these other comparisons. -
Ha. Touche Gnet. It must be crazy for these recruits with the social media accounts, the NIL deal to consider (FYI there's a great podcast on NIL from the Hoosier Hysterics guys a couple of days ago) etc. I ran across Lyndon Jones and Jay Edwards on their official IU visit at a party. Cell phones didnt exist back then so there are no pictures.
