    Certain schools have rules. UNLV was interested in Jason Kidd during their last coaching opening, but he was no eligible to be hired because he didn’t have a degree.

    If Dolson hires Mike Woodson, I doubt he had to “settle” to do so. If he is impressive in his interview and lays out a good plan for the program, and it convinces Dolson, I’ll be ok with it. Will we absolutely know that? No, but it’s what I’ll choose to believe if that’s what happens.

    And I’m saying I don’t think Enfield has coaching ability to do that and him being in LA makes up for that. I don’t think he’d recruit well for Indiana.

    In the current year, I feel like it’s a tough sell to get guys outside of the state to come to Indiana. At USC, you can sell LA and the beach and all that. That’s why I don’t see Enfield being super successful if he came to Bloomington.

    To be fair, my uncle is the same age and has to wear an ankle and knee brace anytime he is not sitting on his behind. If he’s not wearing shorts and flip flops, we never know.

    2 things. If it ends up being an underwhelming hire, like an IU guy, will we get the “We had our eyes set on _________ since the beginning of the process and wanted him from the beginning” schtick? My 2nd point, I’d be fine with Thad Matta. However, he looks like the kind of guy who eats raw onions like apples. May not make sense to you, but it does to me.

    Because that’s just the way it works. Juwan Howard wouldn’t be at Michigan if he didn’t play there. Patrick Ewing wouldn’t be at Georgetown if he didn’t play there. Not saying it’s the right or wrong move, but that’s just how these things work.
