Tucker ranked ahead of McNeeley, Queen, Fland and Bidunga by On3! Bidunga has really dropped - wasn't he a Top 5 player in the class at one point?

Definitely not the best player on our roster - but his point about him being under the radar from a fan perspective is certainly true. Has the IU fanbase ever been less excited about a McDonald's All-American?

Player comps are usually pretty worthless, but after watching every Luke Goode highlight video on the internet I can say with absolute certainty he is Miller Kopp 2.0.

We are in the race. He just visited Colorado and my understanding is that Colorado got him to visit because they have a lot of minutes and a lot of $ to offer him. I still think we are in a good position, but he wants to take his time. I expect it to come down to IU vs Notre Dame just due to proximity to his home and where he played his first 4 years of college. Remember - this is his first time going through a big time recruitment, so I am not surprised to see him taking his time. I think we could hear something this week.

Does anyone know if Elijah Malone is in Bloomington for the day? Or is he leaving tomorrow morning? Are we at the point where we should be on Malone AND Essegian commitment video watch?

I expect to see a commitment video soon (before lunch). If it gets much beyond that, worry will start to set in!

Regardless of the competition he was playing with - he is clearly a much more skilled basketball player than Sparks. 37% from three on 100+ attempts and and 81.4% free throw shooter. He also has great size. Ideal backup big man if you ask me. Also, Malone was certainly well coached at Grace. They have an excellent program. Many people think of Indiana Wesleyan as having a great NAIA program - Grace beat them by double digits three times this year.

On the NIL front, doesn't it seem like IU has foregone grassroots fundraising? The Hysterics don't ask for money anymore, do they? Our huge bag of NIL $ is literally coming from a handful of people (possibly one or two). Everyone mentions the Simons - but do we have any actual evidence of them contributing? Obviously the Cook's could fund our entire NIL operation. Is this everyone else's understanding?

I just can't see Conwell looking at our roster with Rice, Carlyle, Galloway, Tucker and Mgbako at the 1,2 and 3 and seeing enough minutes/shots for himself. I really like Conwell myself and would have preferred him over Carlyle, but I'd be stunned if Conwell came to IU at this point. Look for him to commit to NC State.

Watching the highlights of all these Pac 12 guys and every once in a while you get a highlight at Oregon and I cringe. That floor is awful to watch basketball on. I may need to just listen to Fisch whenever we play at Oregon. Regardless - excited about these new guys, but I don't want Ballou shooting free throws with the game on the line!

His jump shot looks fundamentally sound and he has a quick release. No reason to think he won't shoot it more efficiently next year.

Not sure if this has been previously reported or not - but I am told he is scheduled to visit Notre Dame on 4/14 and IU on 4/18. Interesting to me that his visit is after Pharrel Payne's (maybe order of priority?) . I personally would prefer Malone as he seems like the more skilled basketball player - but unclear how his game would translate in the big ten.
