Based on the profile of Alexis, he is very much unlikely to make it in the NBA. G-League player maybe but who knows. He got a national championship this past season, what most kids are chasing at a collegiate level next to trying to make it to the highest level in the NBA. Coming to IU, Alexis probably is making a little more money than had he of stayed at Florida, gets to play at a more decorated university and more basketball history than Florida AND brings that championship experience to a team that is in its first year of a rebuild and needs this experience. To me, sure Alexis may get some spot minutes BUT his experience at the highest level winning a championship is the move I see here. Maybe he was buried on the depth chart at Florida, if that is the case so be it BUT a few minutes off of the bench given his experience at the highest level, championship pedigree AND an above average % rebounder can't hurt in those spot minutes when we are shooting 25+ three pointers per game or even rebounding on the defensive end

DDV emphasized during his press conference getting back on defense and getting set and stopping the ball. On offense, getting out and running and scoring within 12 seconds is his goal. I dont expect us to be very good at offensive rebounding.

OVERPAY for this guy - would be a game changer. Can score at all three levels, can handle the ball, can absorb contact AND finish at the rim. 6'8", 190(needs to add some weight), 19 yrs old. Already considered a fringe 1st rd pick for this upcoming draft. Give me this guy and the big from Texas Tech and lets roll. boy I am giddy for this one

if Drake commits, I like that he'll be a quality bench guard that has more than 1 year left of eligibility. He could grow into a starter as early as next year(2026-2027 season AND stick around for an additional year if i am not mistaken). So 2 years at JUCO, 1 year at Drexel, 2 years at IU seems plausible.
