  1. Just saw this. South Carolina received 27 of the 28 first-place votes from the national media panel. It was the first time this season that the team wasn’t a unanimous choice at No. 1. Indiana got the other first place vote and stayed second in the poll. The Hoosiers have won 14 consecutive games and are 9-0 against AP Top 25 teams this season — the most wins against ranked opponents of any team in the country.
  2. Probably will be after the Net adjusts.
  3. LSU's Net really does not make sense to me at all other than that they have been rewarded from blowing out bad teams. Another flaw in the Net.
  4. The net is a weird system but the difference most likely comes down to UConn has not played a team that is in Quad 4 of the Net while we have two games in Quad 4. Outside of that, we are pretty much equal on strength of wins. Losses, like a close loss to SC, also improves their Net. Thus, why it is weird.
  5. And those three games have been against #7, #13 and #12 in that order. As a complete guess, I doubt any other team in the country has been tested like this in a regular season week.
  6. As poorly as we shot it in the second half, we still won the half 26-24.
  7. The refs are trying out for the Men's games.
  8. Wow. Officials decided they wanted to get some time on tv.
  9. They thought they were out-toughed at home. It was on a different level in the first half. Now to keep the pressure on them in the second.
  10. IU's off ball movement this whole year is on another level. Meister right where she was supposed to be for the easy layup.
  11. Berger's drop step underneath the basket is just plain sick.
  12. Great article over on The Next Hoops on CTM. How Teri Moren built the Indiana powerhouse: an oral history - The Next (thenexthoops.com)
  13. Even more so after reading some of the comments from Wiggins (sophomore) and Crockett (freshman) that left Indiana to play at Michigan. “Michigan is the reason to play outside of Indiana, like there’s something bigger here that you want to be a part of,” Wiggins said. “IU’s a great school, they have a great program and not to knock off on anything (they do), but I think Michigan has something to prove, that basketball doesn’t just live in Indiana, it’s in Michigan also.” “Going into Assembly Hall and being from Indiana is definitely very special,” Crockett said Feb. 7. “Growing up an IU fan and being able to play in that gym is definitely gonna be very awesome. It’ll be even sweeter to win there in front of all those people.” Michigan's Indiana natives look to prove themselves in Bloomington (michigandaily.com)
  14. My preference in the early rounds of the tournament is to put them in their place quickly so we can utilize our bench and not need our primary 5-6 players playing deep into the second half.
  15. Just learned that the Sports Reference site has gone live with WBB stats back to 2009-2010 season and will be adding more. Here is the link to the announcement on their website. Women’s Stats Added to College Basketball Reference | Sports-Reference.com
  16. IU needs to bring a good game every time out. There are no easy wins left on the schedule or in post-season. That said, it is nice to say they need a really good game compared to needing a great game.
  17. Scalia and Holmes - 57 points on 24-30 shooting. Add in Berger and you get 73 on 30-40 shooting. Only 10 from Garzon, CMM and Parrish on 4-16 shooting.
  18. Well, to be an optimist. Parrish and Garzon have not expended much energy tonight so should be fresh on Thursday
  19. Scalia is looking comfortable in the offense tonight in movement, passing and shooting.
  20. We are looking a bit to casual. This is a common theme in the B1G.
