We can agree to disagree. Also Adam Howard grew up in and around coaching staffs. I think he's well aware of what lines you shouldn't cross. He's also very well thought of in the coaching community. I'll leave it at that.

Yes, I did but I didn't use those words. Howard did ultimately do what Woodson wanted him to do. I never said he was complaining. That's putting a spin on it. I said he went to the other assistant/staffer to try and convince Woodson that they needed to change their approach. The other assistant agreed they needed to change but Woodson wouldn't listen. I've worked for multiple head coaches and if assistants got fired every time they didn't agree with a HC decision and talked about it amongst the rest of the staff that HC wouldn't have a staff. It's different to complain amongst the staff than it is complaining to fans, parents, players, and stuff like that. Most coaches don't want yes men but I don't think that applies to this situation.

He wanted Woodson to put in more effort. He’d coordinate it for him. Woodson didn’t want to so he talked to another staffer who agreed with him. They all had good intentions but Woodson didn’t want anything to do with it.

I was told there will be long term ramifications. There are players and other staffers that are not happy with this decision by Woodson

Woodson is a fake loyalty guy. He wants certain HS recruits but just doesn’t want to put in the time.

There’s nothing more to it. In fact the recruiting rift they had started like this. Howard was vocal to Woody about his thoughts on recruiting. Woody disagreed (and was wrong). Adam had a conversation with another coach. The other coach was aligned with Adam. Woody wanted it dropped entirely. Adam wanted Woodson to be more engaged with recruits. He was going to coordinate this for Woodson. Woodson however felt he was engaged enough.

This came from the Trilly discord from a well sourced individual as well. Both stories have been confirmed by Trilly after he did some digging for us. What l've heard... Adam was had been frustrated with Liam last year because of how it was handled post commitment. He then was even more frustrated with the Mullins recruitment because he felt like it was winnable if Woodson had got more involved. The overall feeling was Woody was involved heavily in the Haralson recruitment and they felt like it was less winnable than Mullins. Woodson had heard about the frustration and decisions were made.
