Bird - Magic was the era before the last era. They didn't play defense other than some punches getting thrown. Defense has never been as emphasized as it is now. Real defense. Not hugging, holding, punching, shoving, tripping defense of the 90's. Actually sit down, move your feet defense. And LeBron can score and play defense. At one point Kobe could. KD and Russ can. Dwyane Wade could at one point. Klay Thompson is one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA. Steph Curry is above average defensively. All it takes is some effort. Though Harden has a massive problem with awareness as well. You can be a "superstar" and only play a half of the game. The Rockets have a problem because the face of the franchise is a 6th man. He isn't a leader by any means. He is me first. He would have fit in great in the early 2000's with Latrell Spreewell. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app

I know there aren't many people with the view. People consider him a superstar. I do not. I consider him a 6th man. If the only thing you can do is score... you shouldn't start in the NBA. He would have fit in well in the Magic Bird era though. Just throw a punch every now and then. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app

Yea same here. He's a great athlete too. I could dunk coming out of HS but I didn't make it look as easy as he can. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app

I think Melo shows a bit more effort. BtownBanners could have a GIF thread to the comedy that is James Hardens defense. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app

You can't hide Hardens defense. Considering they had one of the best defensive big men of all time behind him... he wasn't dealing with Hanner Perea protecting the rim. It was Dwight Howard. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app

Kay Felder is 5-9. I thought that was known lol. Tyler Ulis weighed in at 149 lbs. That is a huge hit on him though he was 5-10 with shoes with a 6-2 wingspan. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app

And got rid of Harden. They didn't just let him walk. They saw something before that happened and basically gave him up for nothing. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app

He measurements don't help him at all. Height w/shoes: 6-6.75 Height w/o shoes: 6-5.75 Wingspan: 6-8.25 Reach: 8-6 Weight: 217.8 Body fat: 10% Hand width: 9.25 Hand length: 8.25 Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app

When you literally CAN'T play defense... you're Jamal Crawford.. where is Jamal Crawford? Arguably the best 6th man ever. That is his thing everywhere he goes. The dude can ball though. Harden can ball.. but he makes JBJ look like Kawhi Leonard in the defensive end. Harden should never be your best player. Or 2nd. OKC saw that. Houston hasnt because they have the dumbest people in power who believe analytics is the end all and be all. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app

Being a Top 10-15 player doesn't always mean you should start. Though I'd put him a bit lower than that personally. Harden is meant for a 6th man spot. Score in bunches but have options ahead of him so he has energy to play defense. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app

Look at the numbers. The past 2 seasons he's been mediocre at best on defense. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app

Best player? Debatable. Vic isn't exactly a starter in the NBA unless the correct pieces are around him. If you're going to use him as a defender and the 4th or 5th option on offense... that's fine. But he can't be one of your top 3 options. His defense has been less than desirable. The Magic were actually worse defensively with him on the floor. Just one of those players who would work best as a 6th or 7th man. Life James Harden or Jamal Crawford Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app

There will be better options than Yogi. Yogi is more likely to go undrafted. Which would be best for him. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app -
Nope. Because you can't do what he does in a video. I'm not joining. Try it in 2K... doesn't work. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app Edit: 2K even knows you can't do what he does in the game. And they have zero clue how to make it possible other than just making him a 99 in three's.

The Rockets will continue to suck... they have a 6th man as their "star" player. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app

And yet the officiating is 100x better than in college games lol. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app

I just think they could do better. Unless he learns that he'll never be a top option on the team and learns how to pass. Walton will be wanting a Draymond Green... Randle is almost the opposite. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app

I'd consider Dragan Bender, Domantas Sobonis, Jakob Poeltl, Henry Ellenson, Skal Labissiere or Marquese Chriss to be better options. Labissiere and Chriss are high risk - high reward guys. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app

And I'm not just "hating" on him because he went to UK. I don't care where players in the NBA went. Because I really like Karl Anthony-Towns and Devin Booker. But I don't think Randle has the potential you believe he has. When he was in HS you could believe he'd be a star in the NBA. But college proved otherwise as he struggles against long, athletic bigs.. and at the 4/5 spot... that's what you're playing against nowadays. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app

Randle has basically hit his ceiling. He is a terrible passer. He does have his t-rex arms. Terrible shooter. Terrible defender. A very self centered attitude. I think the Lakers could trick a team into taking him for a high draft pick. And the Lakers could get a player to easily replace him. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app

And I like Chambers too. He has done well against Crean actually(they've won some games against us). And he is actually starting to get talent there. In a situation he is in.. I think you have to look deeper than a record. Be very successful at Penn State in basketball would be like a coach being very successful in Indiana football. It is an almost impossible job.
