More likely no one wants to attend NIT games. Illinois had under 5k and even GT had 5,500 including the free tics Pastner bought. Their's no doubt IU would of drawn 5k if they hosted game. Question is do we prefer that to playing on road? Many would say yes. As I've said I think the NIT debacle and not hosting game is small potatoes but a very important piece in a larger puzzle that has gone haywire with IU basketball in general.
-
That could be possible as well. No one knows what the world is going on.
-
My only memory of these teams is a 92-93 Indiana Basketball I rented from the library and watched maybe 20 times. Love that video. I missed the best and became a fan in 97 due to age.
-
That was an accident. That's why I changed the follow up to something different on each one. Sorry bad mistake.
-
Sorry for the multiple posts but this is getting hard to take.
-
My heart can't take this.
-
I want this to end already either way.
-
This is going to get interesting that's all I know.

Like I said I won't believe anything until I see it for sure. What I do know is what Rabjohns said and that Osterman said today on a podcast with the Star he's heard of no changes. Doyel has said he's heard of no changes despite the article and JMV said on his radio show he's heard IU doesn't want to fire Crean. As I said everyone could be misinformed and deliberately mislead (I posted on this earlier) but tea leaves point to him staying from people who's face I l know. I also know one of the four guys personally mentioned above but not going to say which. Trust any of them before any message board poster.
-
Like I said that may be true but until I get something else credible I have to believe someone like Rabjohns over all this other speculation. Don't want to believe it but logic says go with the guy who's face you have seen.
-
By who? A credible reporter or more anonymous posters? Like I said until someone credible says differently unfortunately I have to believe Rabjohns as much as I don't want to.
-
That's the problem. From what I can tell the only verified info we have from anyone credible is Rabjohns source saying Crean back. Everything else is rumors and speculation.
-
Yeah but Rabjohns might know what is going on and it doesn't sound good. I don't believe anyone else knows what is supposedly going on including this trustee meeting that is not confirmed or that trustees are trying to tie Glass' hands.
-
Wait so is it trustees or Glass who want Crean out? We can't even seem to get that straight?
-
Unfortunately I'm inclined to believe Rabjohns (assuming he said it and he wasn't hacked which is sounds like he did say it) more than an anonymous message board poster. The only media member I will not believe without further confirmations is Albers. Maybe Rabjohns is wrong and he is not 100% confidant yet which is why he has not gone public with it but this is probably most concerning sign Crean may be staying.
-
Again the question is has Rabjohns been on this board and given people that info or are people merely saying he has given info. That is key.
-
This writer who has the stuff on Crean staying could also be Mr. Mess up Justin Albers who keeps saying Crean is staying (I can only hope). If he has the story that would be best cause he would screw it up and it means Crean is actually leaving. Also interestingly Zach Osterman said today on Sterling that he thinks Crean is staying based on what he has heard. Everyone has different info. geesh.
-
My question is did Rabjohns say this on either twitter or somewhere on a board or is this poster merely saying Rabjohns has info to troll people because I am not finding Rabjohns saying anything? If Rabjohns is saying it we are in trouble. If merely some is making up Rabjohns saying it than who cares.

Another question I just thought of is how many people with 'sources' are being lied to? I can tell you day before Sampson hire I asked someone very much on the inside I knew well at time (and have not talked to since) if they knew who IU's next coach would be? Not only did they not say they couldn't talk about it (which I would of been fine with) they said they had no idea. Next day I hear that person thanked as an integral part of bringing Sampson aboard at introduction press conference. Needless to say I was angry at time when I heard his name at press conference and hated him more as Sampson screwed the University. I also have a friend on the inside who often tells me he can't talk about various things I've asked him about IU which I perfectly respect and he remains a friend to this day. Just don't lie to me. My main point though is how many 'sources' have been lied to by someone within they think they know well only to find out they had their leg pulled? Again my point is no one knows until an announcement is made what is true.

You can't have been on the waiting list since 03 unless you declined tickets. Everyone was offered tickets in 08-09 on waiting list and the waiting list was exhausted at that point. I as well as family bought in 2010-2011 with no waiting list. It returned in 12-13 when IU was number 1 and has remained with at least a small no. of people on it since.

I think 100,000 a yr is the minimum to be considered a big time booster but not positive. Could be more or less.
-
Again we don't know that Glass was leaning towards keeping him despite the rumor but this is definitely possible. It could be to ask them for money for a big name coach for all we know. My point is we don't know either way or that Glass was planning on keeping him yesterday.
-
I know of one booster who wants him out (and its a really big one I promise you). Not sure how strong they are pushing for Crean's ouster or how much Glass respects this person but I would think he does given what they have done in the past. No idea if other boosters want him out but I would think they do given state of program. I would also assume Glass respects anyone who gives big bucks or he wouldn't be athletic director.
-
Again nobody knows if that's really true that he was planning to announce that. That was a rumor. Could be true. Lets not treat it as gospel though.
-
The poster said he heard a rumor. Who knows if that's true. If Glass truly doesn't care what boosters think and their donations dry up I can promise you McRobbie and the trustees will intervene and dump Glass. I also saw Rabjohns said he thought boosters were meeting and a change would be made from what he's hearing based on what I read earlier in thread. I certainly would believe Rabjohns before I believe some faceless poster on twitter or the board.
